Me gustó, práctico, didáctico e ilustra lugares donde he estado!!. Creo que esta serie de libros es básica para los que iniciamos en este estilo de dibujo!!. Lo recomiendo ampliamente.

First, a couple of notes about the physical book. 1. Unlike the previous books in this series, the binding for Panoramas and Vertical Vistas is paperback rather than flexibound and there's no elastic to hold the covers closed. This in no way diminishes the content of the book, but is worth noting if you're collecting the complete series. It also makes the book a little less durable. 2. The other thing that distinguishes this book from others in the series is the number of fold-out pages. These are necessary to accommodate examples of extreme panorama or vertical formats and allow them to be viewed at a useful size within what is a relatively small book. The leading edges of these fold-out pages extend right to the gutter of the book and need to be unfolded and refolded with care. (It's also easy to miss them at first.) Interestingly, the folds are not flush with the other page edges but noticeably inset, making me wonder if this is a binding/trimming error and that perhaps the folds should have been flush and the leading edges not so tightly tucked into the gutter.Given that the book is part of a series, it was nice that it didn't dwell excessively on the matter of art supplies or basic theory but directed readers elsewhere if that info was needed (e.g. perspective). There's an interesting and useful introductory section on theories of visual perception and how that relates to extreme scale – very wide or very tall subjects. I appreciated the examples demonstrating a wide range of styles from a variety of contributors and also the sometimes unexpected examples of the panoramic concept – not all panoramas necessarily have to be landscapes and it was refreshing to be reminded of this.Perhaps a little more discussion could have been devoted to the matter of distorted perspective techniques: there are examples of these (e.g. by Lapin), but not a lot of guidance on how to achieve them successfully, and even Stephanie Bower's book on Perspective for this series doesn't spend a lot of time on these extreme or distorted perspective techniques.Overall, an excellent and well-put together addition to the series and one that doesn't (unlike some of its companions) duplicate too much basic or introductory content but delves right into its theme.

Livro de excepcional qualidade, com muito conteúdo útil em apenas algumas páginas e textos. Conciso, cheio de conceitos de fundamental importância para ajudar a desafiar qualquer urban sketcher a ir mais longe nos seus registros. Recomendo muito.

I've been checking for the release of this book for months now. While I think it has a slightly less visual tutorial feel than some of the others, the advice and the illustrations are inspiring and innovative. It goes beyond the basic perspective guide, and Mario's work is just... wow!Like the other books in the series this book is perfectly formatted to carry with you, but the paper quality and printing are still a lovely quality for a small book. I'm excited to put some of Mario's tips into action.
