Good sticks for heavy blasting and hitting. Can’t complain but I’m more of a 5B kinda guy

I’ve been wishing there’s been a size between 5A and 5B thickness for years, going to music stores I’ve never saw this. Now they actually have it and I never knew. Great sticks. I used to get Vater Los Angeles 5A which were also a little thicker than regular 5A , but these have a smoother wood feel finish that I like compared to Vater sticks.

I've played 5As for almost 45 years, but I always wanted to play 5Bs for more power with less effort. But 5Bs were always too big for my hands. Now these weren't around back in the day so I stuck with 5A. But now these are made and what a very nice compromise. Not too big, not too heavy, just right.I don't know if I got lucky or maybe Vic Firth's QC is better now, but I have never ordered sticks online... I always bought them in the store so I could roll them and pitch pair them. Usually out of a case, at least 3-4 pairs would be warped or very different pitches. Yeah, I'm picky. But I took a chance, and these sticks were very well pitch-matched and dead straight!There are a couple of other new Vic sticks that I want to try that are in this ballpark, but I think I am definitely going to be switching to this stick, love them!

以前メインで使用していたものがモデルチェンジで仕様が変わってしまったため、何か良いスティックはないかと探していたところこのスティックを見つけました。55Aは5Aと5Bのいいとこどりのようなスティックで音の立ち上がりが早く、高速域でも粒立ちが良いため、音が埋もれにくいと感じました。オーソドックスな仕様のスティックですが、スピードとパワーを両立させたいドラマーにはピッタリだと思います。
