TOP Leine zu einem TOP-Preis. Sehr stabiles Leder, gut verarbeitet, starke Karabiner.

We have two Dogs of differing temperament (One soft & cuddly - and if you tried to cuddle the second Dog you would never play the guitar again) and have previously used a 'splitter' type coupler with a single lead attached. The problem with this arrangement is that you cannot control or restrain each Dog individually if the need arises and if your Dog pulls away from you, he takes the other Dog with him as the two Dogs are coupled together. With the 'Active Adjustable Lead' you are able to control each Dog individually and exercise your two Dogs without the behaviour of one Dog affecting the other. If one of your Dogs is pulling, you are able to restrain that particular Dog without affecting the movement of the Dog that is behaving. The two Dogs can then be walked side by side to heel and this lead is long enough to be able to hold it in your right hand, with the lead drooping across your lower body and the Dogs walking to your left side at heel in the correct manner. In addition, you can let one Dog off the lead to run free and then adjust the length of the lead to keep the other Dog under control on a long extended lead. You can also use it as a single Dog lead and simply exercise one Dog only if you wish, but use the extending feature to let your Dog have a little freedom whilst remaining under control. The quality of this product is excellent with heavy grade leather that has strong stitching and good heavy duty Dog clips at each end. It is really excellent value for money as well and can be described as a good old fashioned and sturdy Leather Dog Lead that should last for years. Thirty years ago I had a lead virtually identical to this which had been hand made for me by a Professional Dog Handler and that cost over £30 back then. Be advised though that when the lead is new, it is rather stiff and a little slippery in the hand and needs time and use to become supple and flexible. A good tip is to regularly apply Leather Oil and 'Flexalan Lanolised Leather Dressing' used for treating leather Horse tack is a good product to use. This will waterproof the leather of the lead and make it more supple and easier to use. Our Dogs are relatively small (a Cocker Spaniel and a Patterdale / Lakeland Terrier Cross who thinks he is a Rottweiler) but even if you have Dogs the size and strength of German Shepherds, this lead will be more than strong / sturdy enough for your needs. I would suggest that the 22mm wide leather lead is the one to go for if one or both of your Dogs are powerful / determined, regardless of size. Sarah N.*5 Year Update* I have now had this lead since April 2013 and it is still as good as the day it was purchased. All the stitching is still as solid as when it was new and the lead is now also used to exercise a 35kg 18 month old Labrador - without any issue at all. Highly recommended and probably the only dog lead you will ever need to buy. Sarah N.
