So far I have used these to board and paint a 50 sqm ceiling and they’ve performed faultlessly.

In fairness I have given these an absolute beasting over the last 5 weeks and they have been used daily. They turned up in time for me to do a renovation which involved removing lathe and plaster from 2 entire high ceilings and replacing them with plasterboard, then plastering every single wall and ceiling. I would have normally used some box scaffold and platforms as I have a fear of using stilts. They are still dangerous, but after a few wobbly attempts and someone on standby to stop me falling, I quickly gained confidence and I have never looked back. You really do need to be careful with these and keep the work area clear. If you fall, there is no break away, you are strapped in and going down hard. These have saved my knees a heck of a lot of climbing up and down ladders and also saved me time not having to keep shifting platforms around. They were a massive help for the high ceilings, not just for the plastering but also for cutting in where wall meets ceiling. If plastering, you will really need some help in trowelling you servings of plaster - unless you can put the mix on an elevated stand. They are easy enough to adjust to your desired height, leg and shoe size and there is also a little side adjustment to take into account any bandy legs. The quick straps hold them secure to your legs and the springs allow flex and return for walking. The grip is good on most flooring, but it is a hard plastic block, so you will need to take extreme care on smooth tiled floors, especially when plastering where water is going to be splashed around. These have been a great help for me and after 5 weeks of solid use they look like they have been through the wars but are still working solidly.I can’t find any reason to give less than 5 stars.

Excellent build quality. Aluminium-alloy gives the stilts a perfect combination of lightness and structural strength. They're precisely engineered, quick to put together, and surprisingly stable on the ground (ideally a flat hard indoor floor surface rather than uneven outdoor ground). There's a little adaptation necessary if you haven't worn decorating stilts before - acclimatisation, really: getting used to balancing (which is easy on hard flat surfaces) and also learning how to move whilst wearing the stilts. Once you're used to them, they make certain decorating jobs (painting high ceilings is the key one) much easier than those same jobs would be with step ladders or raised platforms. With the stilts on, you're able to move around naturally and there's no need to move your kit; it goes where you go. Just please make sure you're securely strapped in. The principle is the same as wearing ski boots: if the bindings are loose, the wearer has poor control over his/her movement and is more likely to fall. With the straps secured tightly, the stilts become an extension of the wearer and can be (thanks to their relative lightness) walked on with hardly any effort at all.I've no criticisms of these stilts. They're beautifully engineered, they're strong and light, they're safe (as long as straps are tight and the wearer has at least a reasonable sense of balance), and they make some of the most tedious, time-consuming jobs considerably quicker and easier. Perfect.

I've not used stilts like these before, so I'm still getting the hang of them, but so far so good. My house has 10ft ceilings, so doing anything at ceiling height is always a bit of a logistical problem - having to set up multiple ladders or trestles is a pain. That's where these come in, you can easily set a height from 45cm - 75cm, which should get most people within range of most domestic room heights. It took about 20 minutes out of the box to get everything setup and screwed together. It's fairly simple, and made very easy with an electric driver and a spanner.Strapping on the stilts is much easier if you have somewhere high up to sit to get on and off, you won't be doing this from the ground, or even a normal chair.Once up in the air, it's surprisingly easy to walk around. I found a wide stance best. The 'feet' are spring loaded so they tend to return to and fully upright position with ease, which helps you maintain an fully upright position.Once I get used to these they will make decorating my house a whole lot easier.
