These look great and work wellBest dummy cameras I’ve seen and cheapLet’s see how long the batteries last which had to be bought separately I might addWhy not charge a little more and add them….

The cameras look like the real thing with the flashing LED light. The solar panel works even in low intensity sunlight. The down side is that it does have a rechargeable battery. Two AA batteries need to be installed to keep the LED light on in the night.

Bought for an elderly relative to act as a deterrent from burglary or cold calling scammers. They certainly look the part, the plastic shell being as good a quality as some real cameras I've seen in past years. It really does look like a camera lens surrounded by IR LED's. There's even a short dummy 'wire' from the back that can fit into a hole in the bracket or under the eves of the house to make it look like it's connected to a recorder or monitor. The only non-realistic appearance for me is that there's a clip on the side to open it up (you wouldn't need that on a proper camera, it would have screws if it needed to be dismantled), and the solar panel on top. You wouldn't need a solar panel on a real camera either.Without batteries the solar panel is good enough to power the blinking LED on the front even when partially shaded on a overcast October afternoon. For the evening you need a couple of cheap rechargable AA's to power it overnight, ready to be recharged the next day. Certainly looks good from the road, and at night you'd see the LED more than the panel I suspect. The bracket takes 3 screws (provided with raw plugs). You can unscrew the camera from the bracket during installation with one screw where they join. This also means you can turn the camera 90 degrees either way if need be.A single knob under the camera bracket tightens up the pan/tilt position. The stickers are quite large (around 10cm) and are designed to go on the outside of the window/surface.In all they seem good value, assuming they do the job they're supposed to.
