Super Mario Series for Guitar: Guitar Tab Edition

Bought this for my son for Christmas. His four year old son loves Mario. They will have so much fun with this.

Most of the arrangements by Satoshi Aikawa are not in the original key and should have been because there is absolutely no reason for them not to be. Plus, some songs is missing parts and/or have been arranged so we are missing so notes in the melody. I think this arrangement is mediocre at most. It is a shame that Nintendo censor it's own music. I have more than 10 years of scholarship in musical composition and I find it really easy to just transpose everything back in the original key, but the average amateur musician who buy this will think this is the real deal. It is a bummer because if they listen close enough, they will play a descendant chord while the original is ascendant, they will find some parti missing in the song.I think those «transformations» of the original music serve only one purpose: Nintendo want to be the only ones who own the original music and it is not how they should serve their biggest fans. I don't know about the piano version of those songs, but I think this is a better guess than this book. For me, I will just rearrange this big mess to the original keys for every songs that can be rearranged this way. Beware if you want to buy this book, it is not as good as it looks, but if you have some theory skills, you can find your way easily. But I really don't think this is the target customers.
