They go so far without needing to throw super hard. My dog is obsessed with these.

Ordered the balls for my dog to play with outside in the yard and in the creek plus i like the foam better then a hard ball for playing

Ok, here is a breakdown of what makes a good fetch ball, and why -to date-this is the best one out there. This is for the 2.5 inch fetch ball slingers -the most common size slingers being used.This will cover the fetch ball qualities, price, flight, durability, dog interaction (likeability) etc.$$ Incredibly a good deal at under $5. Most quality balls are over $5.Flight. I have tried dozens of balls, they fall into a few categories. The heavy hard balls cut through the air and go the furthest...like a hard baseball. I need my dog fetch balls to go far so i can really tire my high energy dog. But most dogs don't like the harder balls as much as the softer ones they can chew.They also sink into the grass more, making them harder to recover.The soft ones they can chew are usually not a durable and usually do not go nearly as far...they are usually lighter however and sit on top of the grass, easy to see.This ball is light, bright and the yellow one is easy to see on top of the grass.The unique quality however is the flight. Like a golf ball with small 'dimples', it has small waves on the surface that seem to cut through the air-making it the best light ball with a distance almost equal to a heavier ball. You will be surprised to see the incredible height and distance when thrown with a fetch launcher for such a light soft ball.Durability There is a new material that is soft, durable, reshapes every time, puncture proof and floats. Jolly soccer ball has this same material. Almost the 8th wonder of the world. I have used Jolly soccer ball for years-soft enough for the dog to catch and sink it's teeth into, but always goes back to form and never tears apart (my dog can chew through a cast iron skillet lol). Incredible material. This ball is a little softer-my dog loves to chew on it...but is almost indestructible. Let's just say, I have 5 of these balls and after over a year of chewing on them, only one has needed to be replaced. I let him chew on the ball without worry.OverallThe flight is fantastic, cuts through the wind great for a light ball. While it does not go as far as the heave hard balls, you only lose 10% ish distance. Soft and chewy, your dog will love it over the harder balls.The yellow ball is light enough to usually sit on top of the grass, and sooo bright, I see the ball easierand further than any other ball I have used.Again, this review if for those using a fetch ball thrower.
