These Staedler triplus pencils are such a pleasure to use, I’ve used them for years, they feel nicer, nicest!Ok, why…well, think of how you hold a pencil, with two fingers and your thumb, three digits, I think that’s why Triplus having three sides to the pencil feels good. Lead thickness 0.7mm is ideal, I have previously bought thinner leaded Staedler but found thinner leads are annoyingly scratchy and snap too much, so I’m happy to be back with 0.7mm.I noticed the other day that the eraser in the top of these Triplus rises up when you rotate the top, didn’t know that, for years I’ve just pulled the eraser out!I thought this is a great price for a multipack, I don’t fret if I think I’ve lost it now (I used to) as I know I now have spares.I particularly love B lead pencils, can’t remember if these come with B lead, I soon refill with B regardless, for that great velvety feel without having to ever sharpen.Like all mechanicals the Triplus lead thickness stays uniformly at 0.7mm, never blunts, never needs sharpening.

I love, love, love this pencil. This is the first mechanical pencil I have ever liked using. It is fabulous. I use it ALL the time. Nice fine, bold line.

Dashed cunning, those Teutonic types, if you ask me. If you are of the opinion that "reassuringly expensive" could not reasonably be applied to a pencil, then we must sadly agree to differ. These tri-plus beauties just feel "right" in your hand, particularly when you swap their leads for a softer substitute. My only two gripes are the cost, and their tendency to attend secret pencil conventions without my consent - so I never have kept one long enough to testify to their durability (perhaps one day I will find them all at the back of a sofa plotting world domination). Meantime, I shall continue to replenish supplies of these battleship grey beauties and scoff at inferior alternatives.

Le chien avait mangé celui de ma fille. Ce porte-mine est tellement confortable à l'utilisation avec ses mines ET sa gomme remplaçables que j'ai pris la boîte de 10. Chaque membre de la famille a le sien, à l'école ou au bureau et c'est un outil vraiment agréable à utiliser. Plus de mine à tailler, plus de crasses à nettoyer...

These pencils didn't have a perfect start with me. They looked darker and slightly thicker than the photos, and my first word felt bad. Then I started writing with it and soon unconciously felt happy with what was in my hands! I don't wish them to be any thinner or thicker, because they just feel perfect now! And I love the way the pencil feels on paper and the sound it makes. The body colour now represents a top pencil in my mind. I am completely happy with the purchase now. Some extra good points about this pencil; It has a replaceable eraser of about 2cm that twists out of the way, and the press mechanism has a nice soft spring so you shouldn't overpress. This pencil is top class, I recommend.
