I bought this shifter to replace the old SL-RS35-6R shifter on my wife's mamachari. The old shifter's rubber grip had degenerated and was turning into a sticky goo. Every time I used it, my hand got black streaks on it.This shifter is a drop-in replacement for the old one. It comes with a length of inner steel cable alread attached to the shifter assembly. The length of the cable matched the length of the old cable. All I had to do was slip off the old cable from the outer sleeves, remove the old shifter, and slide in the new shifter and slip the cable back in. It took less than 20 minutes. I spent some time fidding with the position on the rear derailleur until it matched the gear numbering on the shifter.The old shifter lasted 10 years. I hope this one lasts about that long!

シフトチェンジが効かなくなって1年越しに、試しに付け替えてみました。youtubeの付け替え動画を参考にして交換してみたんですが…シフトチェンジが機能しない！ダメかなぁと思いつつ、ワイヤーのテンションを結構ピンッと張って固定したら上手くシフトチェンジするようになりました。ディレイラーがシフトチェンジ時にワイヤーに引っ張られ、チェーンが脱線する仕組みなんですね。勉強になりました。

Highly recommend this for any kids bike with a hard shifter and a Shimano derailer.
