the instructions were absolutely confusing. This lock cannot be used for both left and right opening doors. Everything is made out of cheap materials, even the motor and gears are plastic. It will not last. ABSOLUTE GARBAGE!!!! DO NOT BUY!!!

So... Usually, there is a link to ask questions about a product. For this keyless entry system there is none.It is advertised as being for left side AND right side doors... However there is no logical way to make this adjustment. I only hope that the electronics controlled by the app can make this change.Also... Every other door lock that I have ever bought, has come with a template for drilling the holes in the door. This is VERY difficult to do without a template, as a millimeter or two, can literally ruin your door.The QR code for the product manual contains 90% information about using the app... And about 10% for installing the hardware in the door.I will fight with it a bit, because I like challenges, but if it is truly not able to be used on the side of the door that I need... It will be returned.It would be wonderful to be able to contact the manufacturer for assistance!!Update: after installing batteries, and adding the lock to the Smart Life app, I was able to find where it can be changed from left side door to right side door!! Now I am measuring and drilling on a spare piece of door wood, and will create my own template.
