I have brought three of these and they have all failed, in the description it say "Contains a lithium battery charging management," but it ***DOES NOT***, if you connect the USB cable at the same time as the battery it will short the battery through the sy8089 voltage regulator, this is not a managed charger circuit, please do not connect battery and attempt to charge through the USB, they will fail and start smoking.I Will be returning all of them, they are dangerous really.... (Sorry was really hoping these would be great for GPS/GPRS rechargeable units). If you want to use with a battery I suggest you use an external power bank through the USB port and forget about the onboard VBAT circuits.Or remove the voltage regulator and USB Port and feed the VBAT with your own charging circuit regulated to 4.0-4.2v... Hope this helps save a few.

Von der Idee her super ! Open Source SDK um Software direkt für das Modul zu schreiben mit Trace und allem Schnickschnack - wie gesagt: soweit eine Super Idee. Hab ich leider noch bei keinem anderen Modul gesehen.ABER:Das Ding ist leider furchtbar buggy, die API ist nicht besonder mächtig. Man kann ein paar grundlegende Sachen machen (Beispiele sind viele dabei - alles Github).Aber z.B. ein vernünftiges LowCurrent Standby bekommt man nicht hin. Unter 20 mA ist da nix zu machen und das geht leider gar nicht.Alternativ kann man natürlich auch einen externen Controller anschließen und das Teil über AT Kommandos bedienen (GSM und GPS). Aber auch hier nicht sehr zuverlässig - stürzt leider teilweise ab.Wirklich sehr schade !2 Sterne für die Idee und die Tools. Leider nicht nutzbar :-(

He pedido 4, y las 4 estan defectuosas, no dejan enviar comandos por Serial porque esta siempre escribiendo respuestas de vuelta cada segundo y no se pueden apagar ni interactuar, totalmente defectuosas. No vuelvo a comprarlas.

Working as it should. I used to work with Sim900 but this little device with a GPS is a better choice for my development. I don't use the OEM SDK, all the job is done with an associated ATmega microcontroller.
