For gas lines and refrigeration circuit checks I often use electronic leak detectors and find there are times when using the old tried and tested method of applying a foamy liquid still has its place. This JENOLITE Gas Leak Detector Spray is supplied as a 400ml aerosol and having used it a few times now I have found it works well when checking joints for leaks. It does have quite a strong odour and I did wonder if it might trigger my electronic detectors and so far it has not.It is very easy and convenient to use as it only takes seconds to apply and leaks can be observed visually by any bubbling which occurs if there is an escape of air or other gasses which are at a higher than atmospheric pressure. It is supplied as a good size cannister which should last me for ages. Overall I am very happy with this leak detector spray and confident to recommend.

So I got this aerosol of JENOLITE Gas Leak Detector Spray to try , and to put it to test I actually made my gas system on my motor-home have a small leak , the spray did find the leak quite quickly and I could see where it was coming from , so it does work .There are quite a lot of warnings about breathing this in prolonged use , which concerns e a bitAlso I tried my time and tested mixture of a weak washing up liquid and water in a spray bottle and that found my leak too !So yes it works and in certain situations it may be a better alternative to my washing up liquid mix , but its not particularly cheapObviously if you are a registered trades-person then being DVGW certified may be a must for you , I will use it all up as I work in a garage and it finds air con leaks too and I am certain it will perform well but probably revert to my washing up liquid mix afterwards
