It's an external torx. That's all. Your DT Tric. nipple is a bit more complex (rounded deeps at one end).I managed to use it successfully on a late generation wheel (not the glued nipples: much harder/ time consuming to service), tightening up one bent spoke. The nipple got a bit dented at the top due to this tool, BUT it is still serviceable for further truing (if ever needed). I would not build a wheel with this, nor would be happy if some bike shop would use it on a paid service.

Die Einkerbungen sind so schlecht, dass ich mir schon etliche Tricon Nippel rundgedreht habe. Da funktioniert eine Zange um einiges besser.
