Prima di dedicarsi alle nature morte gli illustratori miniavano manoscritti decorandoli con squisite riproduzioni. Un celebre artista che si dedicò a questo stile fu Joris Hoefnagel. Il motivo qui riprodotto è una pagina miniata del Mira calligraphiae monumenta, manoscritto di Georg Bocskay della metà del XVI secolo.

This journal has rich vibrant colors which are deeply embossed. The paper is 120Gm - a better quality. There is a hint of a side paper design, very delicate. The book gives a sense of history. The font is elegant. I think it is Latin verbage. It is the Ultra size 7X9 inches which I prefer as the smaller sizes feel cramped to write in. The back cover pocket is handy for any loose bits of paper. To buy one, will cause someone to purchase more for gifts. So elegant. Recommended
