I'm giving this a 1 star review because I was only able to get 1 solid use out of it before it broke. Yep, the clip broke right off, leaving this thing dangling from my radio pouch. First off, it unplugged from my Midland GMRS/FRS radio way too easily, so I had it secured with a zip tie. It's not terribly loud. Even with the mic up near my ear (clipped to my backpack strap), the sound quality wasn't great. It sounds tinny and muffled. Next, I was out backpacking today and when I was taking my pack off, the mic snagged on something and the clip busted right off. The plastic part on the back of the microphone that attaches the spring and the rod hinge for the clip just shattered. I wasn't being hard on it either. Many years ago, when I was paying my way through college with a security job, I wore a radio with the same speaker-mic for about 2 years. Between 3 shifts running 24/7, we never had a clip bust off. This piece of work busted after maybe 9 whole hours worth of use in the field. Needless to say, I'm not impressed. I will be buying a higher quality (and inevitably more expensive) unit instead, which is what I should have done in the first place. Like my dad always said, "Quality hurts you once. Crap hurts you twice."

These things are great. Used them for our managers at our skating rink and they work fantastic ! Great sound and durable.

I bought only one of these at first to test on a LXT118 Midland two pin radio.It works perfect!!! Midland users I highly recommend this speaker Microphone for your two way radios. The sound is clear. PRICE IS A BIG PLUSWe have purchased more now that we know they are useable. The clip is strong. The construction material is good.We use these for our security team and they work well in this environment.

Works great.... compact size. Not a full size mic but that's what I wanted. Very high quality especially for 17 bucks.......
