These are NOT professional grade quality, and as long as you understand that and treat them as such, they are well worth the money.You get 72 colours for £40 ! That's 55 p per pencil, and for kids, students at school, or if you're just learning to use pastel pencils, they are great.The colours are highly pigmented, blend easily, and very easy to lay down on pastel paper. I recommend buying a pastel fixative once you are finished, to seal everything in, and you will also need some blending stumps and a soft cleaning brush to wipe away the excess.I tried them with watercolours and had no problems combining them. I also used some gold ink on another picture (Daler & Rowney FW Pearlescent Gold & Pearlescent Blue) and it created stunning effects.I managed to lay down 4 layers on top of each other with no problems aside from the usual dusty atmosphere created.Over the larger pieces it is best to use either blocks or powdered pastels, and save the pencils for detail areas, otherwise you will quickly go through them, and so far I haven't found anywhere you can buy individual pencils to replace them.They are well worth the money, easy to use, a doddle to blend and make great art work easily. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them for adults learning the medium, or students and kids, but if you want something long lasting and more lightfast I recommend you invest in Derwents pastel pencils set over any others. They are better than all the others with the advantage of being available as singles from the company in many places, including the company in Cumbria.

Sie kamen gut verpackt an . Bis jetzt konnte ich sie noch nicht testen , aber sie sehen wertig aus . Sie kommen in einem Metalcase. Ich habe sie mir als Ergänzung zu meinen Pitt Pastell, Carbothelos und Derwent gekauft .

Ne vale la pena. Ho dato quattro stelle, perché il coperchio si è staccato appena ho aperto la scatola di latta. Le linguette sono troppo sottili e corte, quindi ora non si mantiene. I colori sono davvero belli, alcuni più polverosi di altri. Non tutti si stendono con facilità, ma visto il prezzo…Direi che sono da avere in concomitanza con gli Stabilo Carbhotello e con i Pitt della Faber Castell, anche se non si comportano come questi proprio per avere alcuni colori che non sono presenti negli altri. Buono il rapporto qualità prezzo.

I bought these for my wife. She loves them and says they're very similar to some of the higher-end pencils she's been using. There is a good variety of colors and the colors are vibrant, not dull or muddy. They blend well, handle being sharpened well and don't crumble. She told me she will be buying these instead of the expensive ones next time she needs a new set.

J’ai utilisé ces pastels en association avec des Pitt Pastels de Faber Castell pour du travail artistique de précision. Les pigments sont riches mais les mines sont bien plus sèches que les Pitt Pastels. Mais surtout ils sont très difficiles à tailler. Le bois très dur n’aime pas le taille crayon et au cutter c’est la mine qui casse tous les 3mm environ. Je n’en rachèterai pas car même si ils sont bien moins chers, ils s’usent beaucoup plus vite du fait de la mine cassante… dommage!
