I have a mad Rock safeguard that I've been using to repel down the tree during hunting season when I'm saddle hunting. I've had a couple slips with it and I was looking for something to replace that with. I stumbled across this video on YouTube where a guy was using one of these just for that purpose and I have to say that I like it a lot more than the mad Rock safeguard. For one, it's a lot lighter and ounces. Equal pounds and pounds equal pain. For two it's easy to use. However, I do suggest that you buy the carabiner that it's built for because a smaller carabiner allows the rope to slip through much faster. And number three. I like that it doesn't take up a lot of space and that your tag end flows free to the point where you can back up that tag in with a knot off your saddle linemans loop where your hand would already rest for the brake. You're not having to change repelling fundamentals such as brake hand placement and guide hand placement and that's a huge plus.

Karabinerverschluss gut gegen versehentlichens öffnen geschützt.
