This gold hanging ceiling light looks like a beautiful light, however don't let looks deceive you.This light was difficult from the start. Straight out of the box there is a tangle is suspended cables to manage. It took me a little while to realise that one of the cables was over wrapped meaning I just couldn't get the cable length even to hand the light correctly.Once I sorted this out it should have been a simple job to wire. There are 2 wires. Live and neutral to connect. I have great experience in changing lights and electrics in general so this is a simple case of removing eexisting light and reconnecting, or at least I thought.Having struggled in trying to hold the light and. Wiring it at the same time, (This is really a 2 man job) as the light is relatively heavy. I checked connection location and flipped the switch. Instantly the light tripped the fuse!So doubled checked connections and earth noting the cables are pre labelled in the light, so you simply can't go wrong, I tried switching again. Same thing.Having taken the light down and examining g the led driver it appears to have had a major malfunction. Not sure if the factory assembly was correct, as checked everything I had wired again. I will assume the led driver was faulty as showing signs of burn marks .It's a real shame as the light would have been great in my living room. It's a lovely soft gold colour and a real design piece giving a modern style to your room.
