I’m really pleased with this lovely carafe, it’s such a nice addition to my kitchen. At the moment I’m breastfeeding so using it to keep water fresh whilst I’m sitting for long periods, but after that I can see it being well used - either just to keep water cool in the fridge, or for serving soft drinks or cocktails. The lid can be used to make sure ice cubes or fruit stay in the jug.I was a little worried the handle would be a bit fragile but being made of borosilicate it should be pretty sturdy, it’s the same as my cafetiere which (touch wood) has lasted many years with a little care.This feels like a piece that is built to last and will stand the rest of time. It’s not the cheapest but the quality is fab - I’d be so pleased to receive this as a gift or a treat for myself.

Nice solid jug for the fridge or kitchen.It is good for anything you want to throw at it.Fruit punch down to hot tea/coffee, it is ready to serve.Quite deep, hence cleaning would require a long sponge.Overall looking nice and good material, added a bit class to any kitchen.Good for everyday use or parties.Slightly pricey at just under £30.

I got these to make up refreshing drinks in and then be able to put it in the fridge in this glass carafe. There are 2 pour options and the lid is leak proof. It seems well made, really pleased with this.

With Summer fast approaching (where does the time go as you get older), I decided this year that I wanted a way to chill drinks in the fridge whilst still being able to make a decent amount – and be able to take it out if too.Enter the La Cafetière carafe with a large 1.5L capacity in a thin tall form factor. It is only around 10cm diameter which allows me to put it into the fridge door easily and safely. Being glass it is also reusable and holds the liquid inside cooler for longer.Pouring from the carafe is simple too thanks to the lid design which has a hole on side and a perforation on the other (making it ideal for when you have fruit inside the drink).The only problem I have with the carafe is the bottom – it is not perfectly flat and given the narrow diameter, it does make the carafe feel like it might fall over if knocked too hard. This is a bit of a problem though and means I can't give this more than about 3*.

This is a beautiful glass carafe. It's allowed me to prepare ice tea and fruity water the night before ready to drink throughout the next day.I'm really pleased with it, and it would also make a great gift!
