Great job cooling in 111° kept his black hair cool 2the touch for 2hrs b4 needing 2wet again. We had 2go 2Dr & went 4ice cream later. Was worried it being so hot out but worked great! I wet down, wrung out then put in bag in fridge 1hr b4 putting on him. Worked better for longer in extreme weather. I also bring ice water 2re wet it when needed. Great fit, lightweight & his service vest fits over it & still worked great. He loves too. The straps however will drip a lot even after wringing out so will get car seat etc wet. Not great if in public doing a downstairs & leaving wet spot so bring small towel just in case

I really wish there was a size between the small and medium. My dog is 31 lbs, but long, so her measurements lined up with the small on the size chart. After reading the reviews I sized up. I had to cinch the straps way down, and it still gaps in the front. I tried the small as well, and while I could get it on her, it was hard to get over her head and the straps were pressing against her armpits. She was clearly not comfortable and I was worried about chafing and matting, so we stuck with the medium one.It's little on the pricy side, but I think it was worth it. It seems well made and smartly designed. I like the zippered opening to attach a leash to a harness. Underrated feature: the word "cooling" in large print on the vest. So far nearly all the people who have asked me why my dog is wearing a jacket in a heat wave have been too young to know how to read.My dog seems to like it, or at least doesn't mind it. Since it has to go over the head, it requires her cooperation, and she doesn't fight putting it on. Depending on the humidity, it dries fairly fast, but if I pour more water on her before it dries completely, it disperses through the whole thing pretty well, so I don't have to take it off and re-soak it. It's also held up well. I try to keep her out of brush with it on, but there's no stopping her from rolling in the grass. So far no tears or snags, and the dirt has just rinsed right out.Even in our humid weather, it does seem to make a difference on hot days. We can walk further, and her tongue doesn't end up hanging quite so far out. I've recommended it to several people who asked about it on walks, and after seeing it in action, my cousin bought the small off me for her dog so I didn't have to mess with a return.

Ich habe die Weste für meinen alternden Jagdhund gekauft, der nicht mehr so doll kann, wie er gern möchte. Besonders wenn es warm wird, machte er deutlich schneller schlapp.Diese Weste tut im sichtlich gut und sie war den gesamtem Sommer im Einsatz.Passform: +++Ich habe die Maßtabelle genommen. Da ich eine Zwischengröße ermittelt hatte, habe ich die kleiner Variante genommen und die passt super. Die Verschlüsse sind noch verstellbar, so dass es auf einen Zentimeter hin oder her nicht ankommt.Besonders gut gefällt mir, dass auch der Rücken größtenteils bedeckt ist, was bei anderen Westen/Decken oft nicht der Fall war. Die Weste reicht bis unter den Bauch, so das auch Brust und Bauchbereich gekühlt werden. Und die Beine sind großzügig ausgespart. So sind auch Rennen und Wälzen kein Problem.Richtig angelegt verrutscht auch im Spiel nix.Kühlleistung: ++Tut absolut was sie soll und hält gut durch, obwohl es "nur Wasser" ist. Bei 30 Grad im Schatten sollte man aber auch auch keine Wunder erwarten. Bei einem Sommergassi bei 30Grad in der Sonne ist der Rückenbereich nach ca. 30 Minuten trocken. Brust und Bauch halten länger.Das "Einfach wieder nass machen" funktioniert unterwegs nicht ganz so einfach wie es klingt. Das Material ist leicht wasserabweisend, so das beim "Einfach Wasser rübergießen" etliches daneben geht und die Weste nicht richtig durchfeuchtet. Ein Bach/Brunnen/Waschbecken zum Eintauchen (wahlweise Weste und Hund) funktionieren da besser.Pflege: +++Kein Ding. Es bleibt erstaunlich wenig hängen oder kleben. Und das bisschen geht gut in der Waschmaschine ab.Und was sagt der Hund:++Das überziehen eines großen, nassen Lappens sollte vorher geübt werden. Obwohl mein Hund Decken kennt, ist er von nass/kalt nicht sonderlich begeistert. Einmal angezogen ist allerdings alles super. Die Weste stört ihn überhaupt nicht und er tobt, als wäre er 3 Jahre jünger.
