their is a good weight to this mallet it feels like it isn't going to come apart in your hands when knocking in your cricket bat, and it also un-screws to make a grip cone which will save you having to buy a separate one.I would definitely recommend this to any cricketer it will give years of loyal service.

I had a mallet which a tad lighter and it use to take me much longer to knock a bat as the strokes/knocks won't be of great power. So I decided to buy this one with a handle that could come out and be used to install bat grips. There are two flaws with this one1. Due to impact on the bat every time you smack your bat with it, it will start to unscrew. After 7-8 blows it will be loose and you will have to screw it back. This is not a intermittent but every time it will unscrew.2. Due to its weight it gives you good knocking quickly but it also gives you a wrist pain more quickly.I have decided to use my lighter one and knock the bat to set some 2-3 hours of gentle knocking and then move to this for few hard blows and done. Not a good choice for long use due to above two flaws.Also the seller charged me P&P so this one costed me essentially 18 GBP. Not worth definitely
