Ich habe die KEF Q Concerto von KEF Direct mit Versand durch Amazon bestellt und innerhalb von zwei Tagen umgehend geliefert bekommen.Direkt nach dem Auspacken und Anschluss an meinen Denon PMA 1600NE BKE2 Verstärker wurden sie das erste Mal getestet. Als erstes ließ ich einige Musikstücke unterschiedlicher Interpreten laufen und musste schnell feststellen, dass die Lautsprecher im Neu-Zustand noch keine stimmige Musikwiedergabe leisteten. Ich habe sie dann, wie auf der KEF-Website zu entnehmen, einige Stunden mit normaler Musik betrieben, um die Flexibilität der Gummisicken und Aufhängungen zu verbessern und die Lautsprecher so einzuspielen.Als nächster Test stand dann ein erster Betrieb im Heimkino als reine Stereo-Lautsprecher an. Der Film Furiosa : A Mad Max Saga wurde dabei durch die KEF-LS buchstäblich zum Leben erweckt! Die 3-Wege-Lautspreche erzeugen akustisch eine hervorragende Räumlichkeit, die einen praktisch direkt mit ins Geschehen zieht. Auch Geräusche, die von irgendwo herkommen, werden räumlich präzise gesetzt und stimmungsvoll dargestellt. So hatte ich diesen Film noch nicht erlebt! Bei Film und Fernsehen machen die Lautsprecher eine sehr gute Figur.Bei der Verwendung für reines Musik-Hören stellte sich jedoch noch keine volle Zufriedenheit ein. Zwar wird der Bassbereich sehr sauber mit trockenen straffen Bässen wiedergegeben und die Musik wird bis in die Mitten und Höhen konturiert und klar gezeichnet, jedoch bei der Darstellung von Gesang wirkt es so, als würde eine gewisse Zurückhaltung stattfinden. Vielleicht benötigen die Lautsprecher in diesem Bereich noch mehr Einspielzeit, um ihr Potential entfalten zu können.Insgesamt kann man sagen, dass die KEF Q Concerto für Ihren Preis sehr gute Lautsprecher sind.

I bought these for a secondary system. To my fussy, but untrained ears they sound essentially the same as the previous model, the Q150. Thus they are going back. If the Q150 is unavailable, by all means get these! For comparison. I use KEF R3 in my main system and LS50 Meta as second. Speaker nerd for sure! Always a DIY-er before, as an adult my skills and time can’t hold a candle to what KEF offers. Recommended!

Amazing sound. You will need a subwoofer.The speakers are great for music and home theater as well. Make sure that your receiver/amp can handle 4ohm.

Just a little surprised the "walnut" is a vinyl wrap. But heck, Kef spend the money on the parts that make sound and it looks really good. I am able to without any eq but with a sub. ( LR4 @ 60 Hz XKitz crossover) so I can't really talk about the lower bass. It is a really tough decision between keeping them (likely) and keeping with my own SEAS/SB speakers. They seem to do better with bad recordings like Billy Joel and Moody blues. Some of that is my swap to a R2R DAC which was HUGE improvement is edginess. Bigger difference than between mine and the Kefs! I think it is the detail in female vocals that will make the Kef a winner. Really competitive class and Kef does well: Proac, Buchardt, Mofi, March, ATC, Quad, Ascend, etc.
