This surface of this tape is very rough. It gives a lot of friction. It comes very tightly wrapped in plastic. I have stuck some on a slippery step.Update : there is no adhesion at all to my damp stone doorstep. I can try again when it's bone dry.

Very sticky! Hasn't yet peeled! Purchased this tape for our children's metal climbing frame steps. Did the job! Easy to use and good value for money!

This grit-tape is basically like tough sandpaper and provides a very nice boost to any surface it’s attached to.I have put it on some concrete steps and a ramp, and it makes it feel much safer, particularly when pushing or carrying stuff.It seems to be staying put fine, even though the concrete is porous. I cleaned the surface first before applying, as you should do with all permanent adhesive tape.The price is £10 for five metres, or £2 per metre. This seems a little high, especially if you’re going to be using it on a flight of stairs. You’d only get five or six steps done for a tenner!The real question is how long will it last outdoors, on surfaces used every day? There is no way to know but by trying. I will update when a failure occurs, if it does.In summary this is a great product, but the price is a little steep.
