It’s not the perfect fit despite being made to cover a 12 inch speaker. I have a 12inch pioneer subwoofer fitted to a ported speaker box ,I had to remove the original trim ring first before attempting to fit this 12 inch grill. I found it slightly under size. This makes this grill a tight fit because I had stretch the four corner lugs over the speaker metal frame which also made awkward to screw down properly. Other than that once fitted it performed well protecting my subwoofer from damage while transporting items in boot of my vehicle. Sound quality just as good as without the grill, value for money it’s a bit expensive for a moulded piece of plastic.

The grill is quite flexible and won’t withstand high impacts. It’s perfect for my application, however, which is a home-made speaker cabinet for testing mono amplifiers. It will be stationary in the workshop and not likely to be squashed.The finish is good enough for my application but there is some left-over flashing from the moulding process visible in some of the honeycomb.

It's reasonably well made but because it is an all plastic construction (I'm more accustomed to seeing a metal grid when using for guitar speakers) it isn't going to offer a lot of protection in places where a heavy impact could be likely.As in every case, it's horses for courses.
