These cases are much nicer in person than the pictures show. In the pics it looks like a matt finish, but this is an excellent black powder coat finish. It is top notch Givi Quality as expected. I have always used Givi top cases and very happy with them, but this time for my S1000XR Gen 2, i wanted luggage, but not the factory luggage.Ordinarily, i am not a big fan of Aluminum cases, but i figured i would try these for the XR as i didn't find too many other options that made sense to me. These fit the bill perfectly for this bike and the quality is outstanding. The latches work perfectly and mounting is a cinch.I have these mounted on SW Motech carriers, but you can get any Givi monokey racks and these will mount up easily. i have had a chance to ride with these and i don't feel any difference in performance and they don't add too much weight to the bike... Of course that is relative to each rider and many variables.I am very happy with these and would recommend them. Note: these come with a third lockset if you want to rekey a GIVI Top case which i did. Replacing the lockset on my top case took about 15 minutes and very easy. Now i have 1 key for all my cases.You can see the matching top case in one of the pics. I replaced my GIVI outback trekker aluminum case with a matching top case for the side cases. I will say that for the top case, i do like the outback trekker better but these as a set are perfect and lot of storage.

Good quality. Fit my DL650 perfectly.Easy to take on and off.Givi makes nice gear.

Givi cases are awesome! Plenty of storage with 30liters of space you can fit alot of stuff in them. Seems like they could take a fall(I'm not planning on trying that). First trip out was great no issues at all.
