I was going to use this in my 20 gal planted tank, but when I opened up the package, I noticed a very strong chemical smell coming from the foam. No kind of brand-name filter media that I've used in my tanks has EVER smelled like that. It persisted even after rinsing (I even tried some vinegar solution!), so I decided to bin it. No amount of savings could compel me to expose my fish and plants to whatever was in that sketchy plastic. Aquarists be warned!

These are just as good the branded versions, the only difference being they just come in a plastic bag rather than a branded box or packet. They are easy to install and last as long as any others I have used. An excellent product at a reasonable price.

I ordered this filters for my 100 liter fish tank filter and they are perfect size and worked very fine. i will order them again.
