USB BT 5.3=========Class 1 BT 5.x with a good antenna will give between 40m-100m, the range being tempered by obstacles. The high end is only achieved out in the open, and inside a house it is unlikely to reach 100m, the walls and other electrical noise being the greatest obstacles. This adapter has a nice antenna to it, and uses a generic chip since it is identified in Windows 10 as a “general BT adapter” rather than a specific chipset. In practice this works well and should outperform BT usb nano dongles BT 4 and below,. Worked well under Windows 10, completely plug and play. Expect it to be the same on Win 11. So, having got a new Bluetooth speaker that I wanted to pair to my PC, I discovered I couldn’t hind my dongle. This was therefore a replacement. It has a long aerial that give a long range (allegedly 100 M) and can take multiple signals (again, allegedly, 5 devices at once though I have only tested 2). The long aerial means it is unlikely to be lost as the snub-dongle was. It plugged and played with no issue.
