It’s a good reel but i bought two Tatula models from Japan for less money and they are much better reels. Overall, this is a good reel that cast a country mile. Just not as smooth as expected.

I thought I loved this reel the first time I took it out. Then the second day I took it out it was grinding so I put reel oil in it but didn't help. I also am not a fan of the line guide, it's wide so it doesn't reel the line in evenly. Will be returning.

The reel it’s self is great but the problem is that it’s a lefty reel. It does not match the picture of a righty reel

This is by far the best bait casting reel for the money. I've owned many different brands of reels in my life and the daiwa tatula is the best I've ever owned. I now own 5 of them and never had a problem with any of them. I bought one 5 years ago and it's still going strong.

The main plus is the increased casting distance which is caused by the TWS thingy. I love the reel fits in your hand and it very very comfortable to use all day. I have a slx xt and it comes close to past it. Highly recommend FYI! THIS REEL IS LEFT HANDED! :)
