I have made about 10 dives with it and it worked. However today i made a dive in the Red Sea at only 20 meters or so and if heavily leaked water destroying my inreach 2 . I can hear the salt water inside the inreach 2 now. I tested the case again ( empty) the same day and then it did not leak any more. I did not change anything except taking out the inreach 2 and drying everything. But you cannot trust a case like that. I maybe have made 10 dives with it. So if it fails in 10 % of the dives it is not reliable. If I get a new in reach 2 I do not think I will ever dare to put it in this case again. I am disappointed in this Garmin product.

As an avid SCUBA diver, I often find myself diving in locales where it is certainly possible to be lost at sea. I bought the Garmin inReach Mini to help me get recovered in such an unlikely event. Unfortunately, I also wanted a way to carry it with me underwater that was more secure than a doubled-up set of vacuum bags.Enter the official case. I can personally vouch for it! I just got back from a 4 day dive trip to the Eastern Fields, a remote location about 50 miles off the Papua New Guinea coast. I did 12 dives, as deep as 48 meters, and literally kept the case in my accessory bag the whole time (just doing visual inspections every day, thanks to the clear case).Verdict? It performs as advertised. The inReach was as dry as a bone when I pulled it out of the case.

Random flimsy top. Makes device very heavy. No good for every day storage and use
