I first bought this hip pack because I wasn't fully committed to a murse. I have used a backpack for most of my life to carry daily essentials, but after several trips, I realized I wanted something more compact that I could throw around my shoulder and know I have what I need without carrying extraneous items that just added weight and confusion. I was going to buy a Tumi bag, since I have a Tumi backpack and its been superb, but I didnt know if I was going to stick with the smaller pack slung around my shoulder for everyday use. So I purchased this hip pack. After several months I saw that it was designed so well that it achieves everything I wanted. So I just kept it. The front pouch flips completely open where I store sanitary wipes, a head lamp, nail clippers, tweezers, spare plastic bags, and a small first aid kit. In the organized slots I have a lighter, chapstick, pepperspray, keys, flashlight, and a roll of poop bags for my dog. The zipper pouch has a mesh zipper area where I have usb-c cables, spare batteries, and sometimes I throw a power pack in there when I know I may need an extra charge. I carry my airpods, pens, a leatherman, cloth for my glasses, a flip knife, and sometimes just random stuff. Then there is a hidden zipper pouch where I put my wallet, but there is also a pocket where I stuff a grocery bag. You can also slip the strap inside if you want to just carry it like a small pouch. This bag keeps me organized and its well made. I throw it around and beat it up on a day to day basis. I love this bag.

It’s a great concept for me with the clam shell front pocket, BUT, based off the pictures I thought it would be a bit more earth tone, however the actual light pinky/peach zipper color in the photo is more like bright coral in real life. I love the bag style, the brand, the weight, the comfort, BUT the color is disappointing. I’m very familiar with Cotapaxi using odd color blends together but the photos don’t represent the actual colors, and I was excited to get what the picture depicted since I’m not flashy and am not trying to draw attention to my bag like it’s a talking point.

I love Cotopaxi and finally got a fanny pack. I used it to visit family in Florida. I already had clothes so this worked out great! It fit my kindle, backbone controller, battery pack, cables, wallet keys, and other miscellaneous stuff without looking stuffed! It was comfortable walking around animal kingdom across my chest or as a normal fanny pack. I wish it had the random colors for this style but I still like the color scheme. Plus the color I got was on sale. Seems to match Cotopaxi durability

I have been through a lot of hop/sling bags. I hate having my phone and wallet stuffed in my pants pockets, and I also like to have other things light sunglass, reading glasses, gun, keys, cash and passport available.The Allpa 3L hip bag is the right size for all my packing items. The compartments allow me to store and organize my stuff without fear of having not enough or to much room. I have had a 1.2L and 2L bag, both not able to hold my stuff. I have had 8-10L bags and these were way to big and uncomfortable to wear on a daily basis. The 3L was just right for my daily use, and travel too.The outer construction is durable and water resistant. There are 3 zipper compartments with additional mesh zipper storage in them. The front clam shell opening compartment holds my glass case, wallet(2), and misc cards, the second compartment had 3 separate areas that hold my cash, keys, phone, various small items like ChapStick, and change. The last compartment is a zipper pocket that hold my passport and even cash is you need added security while traveling.The straps can be tucked away so it is easily packed in a carry on or back pack if needed. You can wear as a hip or sling bag, and the partial padding around the bag helps with comfort. The color options are nice , as I picked the olive, but you can go brighter or simple black if needed.Since I travel a lot, I marry the Allpa 3L hip bag with the 28L Allpa back pack and the 38L Allpa roller bag. I wont say I am a super fan of Cotopaxi, but they make bags that are very versatile, durable, and comfortable. The construction on all their products (bags) are perfect for my traveling style which is trains, planes, automobile, and cruise ships. I carry all my stuff, and the Allpa series allows me to do that without being a super big person.

This is perfect pack for hike and travel or simple grocery run the appearance is perfect and comfortable as hip or shoulder. The price is at higher point but it is worth it for the quality and the ability to organize and pack a good around of stuff
