Very useful and colourful. Lightweight, therefore you can hardly feel the straps. Hubby is well pleased too ! No excuse for losing our glasses now !

Los colores son bonitos y el precio está bien pero... el cordón es demasiado rígido y no resulta cómodo especialmente detrás de las orejas.

As one who is new to wearing glasses I’ve come to realise that sometimes you just need them close and handy and that hanging round your neck might be just about as convenient as it gets.I was quite surprised on reading reviews just how many glasses straps fail in the most fundamental way... to hold the glasses securely. These particular straps don’t currently have many reviews but the ones they do have say nothing about glasses slipping off or cords breaking. Additionally, the product description looks quite persuasive, so at near pound shop prices I figure it’s not wanton endangerment to give them a try.Aesthetics:Bright and colourful. Reminds me of sunny holidays and I have admittedly stashed a couple in the suitcase for that purpose... but for day to day use, my preference would lean towards something more discrete. Looking at shape and substance, we have a flat canvas like material, very strong but is also very light and as such tends to hoop more than droop with glasses on. I’m average height and with glasses off, they rest just below chest level unobtrusively.Ergonomics:Attachment to glasses is via a rubbery hoop and metal securing coil, slackened or tightened simply by slipping the coil back or forward. On the actual straps there is no length adjustment other than the difference between attaching glasses at arm hinge or bend, however, the preset length is a sensible average. The lack of an adjustment slip may keep things simple and reduce the potential for tangle or snagging but might just be deal-breaker for those who need it. The straps have a slightly waxy feel, presumably some sort of waterproofing but not unpleasant to the touch or indeed noticeable when wearing. In fact they are so light wearing and airy you forget you even have them on. When not on, they fit comfortably alongside glasses into case or pouch.Durability:Too early to tell, but projected longevity and fitness for purpose based on some simple home testing bodes well. The Yo-yo test, general rough and tumble.Attach straps to arms of glasses securely, pinch with fingers on strap mid-point. Proceed to bounce and shake vigorously up and down repeatedly and observe... do glasses remain attached – PASS.The Whoosh test, just for the hell of it.Attach straps to arms of glasses securely, pinch with fingers on strap mid-point. Proceed to rotate furiously above head until a whooshing sound is heard and observe... do glasses remain attached – FAIL.One of the straps pulled free and the test promptly stopped. Conclusion from this test, remove before taking a spinning cage fairground ride and leave off until all subsequent projectile vomiting has ceased.Safety Test.Straps should be tight enough to stay on with a bit of rough and tumble but in an emergency should release. Attach straps to arms of glasses securely and hang round neck. Pull glasses with a sharp forceful tug... do straps pull free – PASSIn conclusion:This particular implementation of the rubber hoop and coil fastener appears to hold well under short term testing. Longevity is a different matter, I’ve not had these long enough to say when the rubber hoop fasteners might begin to lose their elasticity or bite, but at this price I’m happy with six months or to do a turn on holiday. As with any strap it’s good practice to check fastness from time to time and in this case nip up with a push of the coil as required. Of course, for certain sports use or specialised activity you might want to look at something other than a lanyard attachment but for general purpose use these do just fine.
