They are not that cheap, but the quality is outstsnding

I had been looking for some wire shower baskets for a while to replace time chrome plated steel ones that had gone rusty, there is a great shortage of manufacturers who use rust proof materials, but I found these that claim to be chrome plated brass. When delivered it certainly appears they are which was a relief. They feel really solid and appear a much higher quality than the price might indicate, even the screw caps are metal rather than cheap plastic that screw onto the threaded cup washers . Installation was straightforward, some have said that the screws are a bit short which possibly they are however they appear to work well for me and if you are going to swap for longer ones you will need to make sure you find a similar sized counter sunk screw to fit the supplied cup washers.Time will tell how they last over the years but as first appearances go, they look like they should last well.

This item has every appearance and feel of being a good quality durable item worth the extra cost. The fixings although good quality expanding screws / plugs were probably a bit short for most applications (hence 4* rating). As supplied, hardly making it through tile + plaster, I used longer screws to be sure to get a fix into the wall behind so it didn't fall off.I'd still recommend the item but be prepared you might need a couple of longer screws.......
