Excellently made and clear to read. Great instructions. Lovely simle maths exercises for outdoor entertainment for those still using their 'Grey Matter' in getting around. (Just in case someone should hack the worlds GPS, as you do). Love the metal ruggedness and crytsal clear reading(s). Amazing Value at this price.Highly recommended. Karl O'Neill.

As I searched for an inexpensive compass, I stumbled upon this one here and many identical ones from various sellers. I noticed straight away that the pictures looked quite good, as was the description. As always, I looked through the reviews to see what people who bought this compass have to say. I must say that there are some incredibly pointless reviews for this compass - people who seriously think they will receive a military-grade, high-end compass that is usually worth hundreds for little over a tenner should have their brains scanned. Just saying. Despite bad reviews, I purchased the compass on merit of the description and pictures, which were more convincing than the bad reviews. It arrived two days later in good condition.I am incredibly pleased with it, as it exceeded my expectations. The compass is made of durable material - although I wouldn't drop it from a cliff to test it, I'm sure it would withstand normal knocks and bumps - and has a lanyard and pouch for carrying on the body - a must for a compass. It has a good design (based on military compasses) with a centimeter and inch scale on the side to assist map-reading. It functions marvelously as a lensatic compass should and it is fairly easy to level it, as it has an integrated water-level. The compass comes with a slope parameter table on the back and a magnifying glass that can be screwed in and out of the front end of the compass to help read the small numbers and letters (or to help read tiny print on a map). The compass is also waterproof, in that it resists water and won't break straight away if it gets wet. You should be able to take it outside in the rain and navigate through monsoon deluges if necessary.I'm giving it five stars, because it is a brilliant piece of kit for very little money and it has exceeded my expectations. If you do not know how to use a lensatic compass and do not want to learn it, then this compass is not for you.If you are looking for a genuinely military-grade compass, this compass is not for you (you are looking in the wrong price-range and you probably need to reconsider whether you really need to spend 200€ for a compass - and whether you really should be doing things requiring a compass). If you are looking for a compass with hammer function, this one is not for you (I think none are).If you are looking for a compass to take scuba-diving, this one is not for you.If you know nothing about navigating or how to use a lensatic compass (including how to calculate slopes etc.), this compass is not for you.If you are looking for a compass is 100% reliable and accurate to the smallest, this compass is not for you, as it is probably not the most durable and certainly not the most accurate out there - but it is sufficient if you are navigating in your free time.

La desideravo e l'ho ricevuta in regalo: molto bella, robusta, precisa, un prodotto di qualità. Anche troppo per me che faccio trekking non a livello estremo. Molto contento!
