Great looking cans but lacking a little in the sub bass area. For the price you can get better. I sent them back.

After spending some serious time with the Audeze MM-100, I have to be brutally honest — this is one of the most disappointing headphone purchases I've made in years. I had high expectations given Audeze’s reputation and my experience with other planar headphones, but the MM-100 fails to deliver on almost every front.Sound Quality: Flat, lifeless, and shockingly underwhelming. These don’t sound remotely premium. There’s no depth, the soundstage feels narrow, and the bass lacks body. The mids are dull, and treble feels like an afterthought. I tried them on multiple DAC/amp setups, thinking maybe it was a pairing issue — it wasn’t.Build Quality & Comfort: Cheap-feeling plastic parts, a weird fit, and pads that feel like a downgrade compared to what Audeze used to offer. If you're going to release a more affordable model, fine — but don’t gut everything that makes the brand reputable.Target Market Confusion: I have no idea who these are for. They’re not neutral or analytical enough for studio work, and they’re not engaging or rich enough for music lovers. This feels like a product created just to fill a price point — not to meet a need. This kind of release feels like a step backwards for Audeze. Loyal fans expect a certain standard of sound and build, and unfortunately, the MM-100 doesn’t meet that. It’s disappointing to see a brand known for excellence put out a product that feels rushed or poorly thought out. I hope this feedback encourages Audeze to refocus on quality in future releases.Bottom Line: Do not buy the MM-100. Save your money, save the resources, we expect better. There are far better options in this price range — from both boutique and mainstream brands.

Ok let me start by saying I’m listening to music as I write this review.. These are studio tuned so out of the box they sound very good but with EQ sound incredible for music listening and not just for mixing/ mastering. I have owned LCD3’s in the past but eventually sold them because of their darker upper treble. I loved the soundstage and bass but to my ears they lacked life. Enter the much lower priced MM100. I did a lot of research about their strengths and weaknesses and studied their frequency response graph. What I saw were several easy fixes. These now go head to head with my Sennheiser HD 800 cans. Super fast and resolving, no distortion after EQ with deep articulate bass and smooth highs. The midrange was always good but now even better. In my opinion outside of soundstage size I prefer them to the much pricier LCD3. Yes the only caveat is a very average sized soundstage compared to over $1000.00 open backs however the sound signature punches WAY ABOVE their price. They can sound great with almost all music genres. I think you can tell I highly recommend the MM100 with EQ.. would still consider them without given their technical merits.Anyone interested in my settings just ask.

Very strange headphones. First I'll talk about why I returned them. They have a very strange adjustment system with little buttons instead of just being able to adjust perfectly to the size of your head you have to make quarter inch adjustments on either the left or right. The problem is with my particular head even one adjustment took them from too big to too small making them rub either the top or bottom of my ear making them very uncomfortable. I was able to put a little padding under my head to get them to go up a little bit which made them fit perfectly but I don't feel like I should have to have a paper towel on top of my head when I listen to music to make my headphones fit properly. Moving on to the sound I thought they were pretty awesome. Very crisp and clear. The only real complaint is that they were very kind of flat sounding and not very Dynamic and fun to listen with. Super super analytical. The Sound Stage was incredibly disappointing as well it was very three point sound coming from left Center and right and all very much in your head and doesn't seem to expand much Beyond. This was incredibly disappointing just from reading how realistic and huge Audeze headphones usually sound. I may have to upgrade to LCD3x with better adjustments to see how those sounds but for now I think my sundara's were a little more what I was looking for sound wise with a little more playfulness with all that detail still there and a little more holographic sound so to speak.
