I wanted to like the tuner, but the auto mode is quirky. For example, tuned it on 60m (using WSJT-X tune button). Then switched to 160m and after two attempts it tuned very well. Then switched back to 60m and pushed tune. It restored tuned settings, but then when I started transmitting it changed the settings. The L&C values were different and the SWR went up quite a bit. Eventually it retuned with low SWR after several tuning attempts. Then when I went back to 160m and tried to transmit, the SWR was very high. It didn't restore the right L&C values. After many tuning attempts I still had high SWR. Eventually was able to tune it by just transmitting. Then went back to 60m and this time remembers the right settings. After many attempts going back and forth between 60m and 160m, it seems that:* the auto mode is not properly recognizing the transmitting frequency. It often treats the WSJT-X tuning tone as different frequency than when transmitting CQ.* tuning is very difficult at 160m and 6m (and just a little flaky at 60m)Seems to work better if auto mode is turned off, and I retune manually each time I change frequency just using the WSJT-X tuning tone.Trying to decide if I should return it, or just settle for using it the way it is. It seems the problem may be the firmware and not the hardware, so don't know if exchanging it would help. Unfortunately it came without any printed information. So only have what is in the product description to go on (and tips from other reviewers).EDIT 1/20/2025:- tuning from 80m to 10m usually works first time. At 160m and 60m it sometimes does not work.- a tweak to improve tuning at 160m for FT8: it goes better if you push the tune button in WSJT-X first to send the TX tone. Next press the tune button on the ATU. And then turn off the auto so it doesn't change when you start making contacts. Not sure why this helps.

Für Langdrahtantennen nur bedingt brauchbar, da das Gerät nicht mit der dazu benötigten Induktivtät ausgestattet ist.

It's an upgrade to the 100-watt version that I bought earlier, the prices are almost the same, it's more rugged electrically, bigger in size and heavier, I'll use it for the HAM radio I bought, indispensable for that transceiver, right now I have only tested on CB, optional if I use the car rooftop antenna, at 12 to14 Watts max, a single narrow band with frequencies ranging from 26.965MHz to 27.405MHz, long wire configuration ( just 5.3 meters, almost right, 5.47m is the perfect length, so it's easy for the device to achieve nearly perfect SWR figures, also I tried it through a 1:1 balun, each arm is 6.5m, the total is 13m, exceeding the full wavelength, it still works fine. When I use it with a real HAM radio without a built-in tuner, this kind of device becomes mandatory. ) and an existing taylor-made, car-roof-mount antenna that's tuned on channel 1, gradually more off-tuned on channel 40.The full range of this device is in the spec, 1.8MHz to 30MHz.

Nice compact tuner, tunes my end fed 160-10m zepp antenna perfectly. Highly recommended for pota and field day, or daily base/mobile use. Can't beat the price compared to other more costly auto tuners. When you buy one be sure to check QC at the input and ant so-239 connectors they can sometimes be loose from the factory, simply tighten them up. Other than that great tuner for the cost.

Unfortunately there are no clear instructions.I found out myself:1. Push the TUNE button and the text TUNE comes on the screen.2. Push PTT on the transmitter in AM or FM mode.3. The tuner will make a lot of noise with buzzing relays then stops.4. The tuning is complete. If you push the AUTO button, a small dot appears on the screen in between the PWR and L text. This means that AUTO is on. Tuning is then automatic (with noisy relays) when the PTT is pushed on AM or FM.If you push the BYPASS button, a dash appears on the screen in between the PWR and L text. This means that BYPASS is on.
