This set of crochet hooks comes in very handy when you don’t have good lighting for crochet. All of the hooks fit well in the base/handle and are easy to remove and change out. The handles aren’t quite as comfortable as regular hooks, but the lighting makes up for that. I like to crochet at night when everyone is watching tv or a movie with the lights off. The set seems to hold a charge well. It’s also nice they include a gadget to help remove the hooks from the handles.

The concept is great – however, I had a bit of difficulty with the hook – I have smaller hands and my method is to roll the crochet hook which cannot be done with this hook system. After working with it awhile I was able to adjust – just not as easy as a regular crochet hook. After charging with the included USB cord, the handle will light up and count stitches and rows for several hours. While using the acrylic hooks – they will light up but the metal ones do not, so that is only useful using the acrylic heads. There is also another handle included which can be used while the light up hook base is being re-charged. I found the hooks to be smooth and that they glide easily along the yarn being used. Also included are the wrenches to tighten and loosen the heads and after tightening, they do not come loose. There is a lovely case included with a zipper enclosure to store the handles, charging cord and all the hooks in one secure place.

I would suggest this for a beginner or someone who does crocheting as a fun pacing time.I had a hard time removing the attachments, hard to see the notches to turn to align, not the best.This was for my daughter to learn, so it worked good for that purpose.Like the counter, nice way to keep track, but I haven’t figured out a easy way to keep pressing the tiny button lol.The grip on the purple handle, moves a bit and hope that stay put.Having light is handy but it doesn’t exactly light up the area I need more light on. It’s somewhat ok.Rechargeable!

The metal hooks are extremely high quality, the yarn glides so easy and the plastic ones work great with the light, I wish the light handle was heavier but overall I like the kit a lot and I will use this from now on! Goes from 2mm to 14mm!

The light up handle with stitch counter is flatter than it is round and awkward for me to hold. Mom had an easier time with it, but she had to get used to not being able to roll the hook the way she’s used to. In case you were wondering, the stitch and row counters are not automatic, you click the relevant button (and hopefully don’t trigger it by accident).The kit includes an unpowered/unlighted handle that *is* round.The light effect works best on the acrylic clear hooks, and is less useful on the metal hooks. Not useless, but no where near as useful as I’d hoped.
