I installed this inside my Macbook Pro (early 2011). It is working perfectly.After the first cycle I recieved the Battery Condition message "Replace Now" after fully charging the battery- which was initially concerning. But I let the laptop deplete the battery to zero and fully charged it, now the battery is showing no errors and is lasting a good amount of time. I'm happy with the purchase. `

Bought this to replace an old battery for a 2011 13" macbook pro that I use as a backup DJ laptop, running Serato DJ Pro. My main macbook is an M1, but I figured if this older one ever had to pulled out in an emergency, it should be able to run on battery for a decent time (just in case). The old battery held charge for maybe ~1 hour, at most.The swap was very simple with the included tools. Just remember where every single screw goes! They're different lengths. Also, you need to cycle charge/discharge, and calibrate the battery after you install it, to maximize its capacity. Following other online instructions, I charged it to 100%, ran it till it turned off on its own, and left it overnight. Next day, charged to 100%, and repeated this process a few times. Now I'm getting ~4 hours per charge with my Dj software running the entire time, and fan manually running faster (via app).If you have an old macbook pro from this generation, max out the RAM, swap your drive(s) to SSD, and get a new battery. It still makes for a very capable laptop.

It may be the case I am installing it incorrectly, although I went back and forth with the original and indeed its a tad bit bigger in height. So when trying to screw in the two screws nearest the battery they wont go in all the way and stick out (so Im leaving them leaving them out). That being said, the battery itself works fine. This is for a mid 2010 13" MacBook Pro.
