swapped out my standard cigarette style socket on my 2013 Genuine buddy 170i scooter fit perfectly in the stock hole, so i could charge my phone if needed and run my garmin nuvi gps with a aftermarket usb style adapter cable and not the normal cigarette style cable they normally use , using a cigarette style 5 amp adapter, the phone charged slowly even using the 5 amp usb side of the adapter just by itself, and the garmin on the 2 amp side ( most times i just run the garmin off its battery until it says low battery), with this i noticed a massive difference in how fast the phone charged the phone at 50% charged using the stock socket and 5 amp side of adapter and a 16 mile ride home from work. phone was anywhere from 55 to 58% charged, after swapping out and using this. my phone my phones at 75-78 %, every time i get home, only things i did was change the factory 1 amp fuse on the scooter to a 10 amp that feeds the line from the battery to the fuse block to socket as the 1 amp fuse would more often would end up blowing and sometimes even a tried a 7 amp and that was just charging the phone POOF fuse pop! , 10 amp ever blown , i got tired of having to remove 4 screws and a 1 bolt just to remove the front cover then moving a bunch of wires just to get to the fuse block on the scooter (as it's kind of tucked under the head tube of the frame and under a bunch of wires for for the start switch, kill switch. speedo cable headlamp and turn signal wires ) , i also added waterproof on/off switch inline with the Hot lead coming off the fuse block that fed the OG socket so i can shut it off when needed as OG socket line was alway powered on . is also nice to see what the battery level is when needed
