As a DIYer, this tool has been invaluable for troubleshooting nuisance tripping.It allows you to diagnose where the issue is before getting an electrician out.There are a number of YouTube videos which explain how to use the tool to test from your consumer unit all the way to individual appliances. And all tests can be done without exposing any cables.And if the tripping is caused by an appliance then you may be able to avoid getting an electrician out altogether.NOTE: Any and all changes to your consumer unit or anything that requires removal of the front cover, need to be carried out by a qualified electrician.
