Unbleached paper sacks with a drawstring across the top that come in two sizes. The smaller of the two will hold just enough for making a single cup of tea. I have a “one cup of perfect tea” spoon that I use to measure out all my loose teas. It was a very tight squeeze getting its rounded bowl into the little bag. It just fits and a few tea leaves fell to the side as I was inserting it into the bag. I tried two kinds of loose leaf tea, one was a green chai and the other was an orange blossom green tea blend. The chai has a fine consistency sort of like dust while the blend is like a regular loose leaf tea. Both brewed well and there was no seepage of any leaves into my tea mug. The larger bags are about double the size of the smaller ones. They would be good for brewing a pitcher of iced tea or making a whole teapot of tea. They would also work great for making soups or stews or any other dish where you’re using bay leaves, whole garlic cloves or fresh herbs that are to be removed later. So much easier than having to search for each individual stalk or leaf.

I'm just now getting into the world or loose leaf tea and these bags came in great! I was worried the string might tear the bag but nope! I was able to close the bag and tie it off to brew myself a tasty cup. There's a lot of bags in this that should keep me going for a while. Definitely worth the cost!
