I bought these to aerate new water before performing water changes in my saltwater tank. So, they're only used for a day or so, every fortnight. Both of them failed in the same way after about 6 months; by cracking where the air hose attaches (I wasn't removing the hose each time, in case anyone thinks it was that). So total use for each was probably only 12-15 days. Maybe it was because they went from wet to dry to wet etc, but they certainly broke after very little use.
