The metal tacks that hold the button in place are too weak and bend when you push them into the button. More than half ended up being unusable.

A mallet didn't help secure the buttons to the backing, but the constant applied force of a clamp did. They look great! The extra backings were useful as my mallet bent the first one.

Used this to replace existing button as I wanted to reduce waist size and couldn't reuse original. Has worked very well.
