I have a few sets of wireless thermometers. A couple of them are called wireless, but actually have wires on the probes that must be connected to a base unit. The base unit connects to a phone app by Bluetooth that is wireless. The problem with this type of "wireless" thermometer is that, when using more than one probe, it can be difficult to keep the wires to the probes from tangling. In addition, when using them for smoking, the wires need to extend outside the door of the smoker which prevents sealing of the door or cover of the smoker.I do have a couple of other wireless thermometers that are Bluetooth. These thermometers are truly wireless, meaning no wires to the probes, but the distance to monitor them is limited to the distance of the Bluetooth connection which is not always optimal. In addition, in my experience, a Bluetooth connection can sometimes be interrupted if you are monitoring food and need to use a microwave to cook part of your meal. I returned one set of wireless thermometers that disconnected when I used the microwave. By the time I got it to reconnect the food was overcooked.I decided to find a WIFI connected wireless set of thermometers and chose this one because of the many positive reviews. I chose this set for the added convenience of the longer range supplied by WIFI vs. Bluetooth. My personal requirements for a wireless food thermometer are:1) Accurate and prompt reporting of the internal temperature of the food I am monitoring.2) An estimation of done time so that I can have sides prepared by the time the food being monitored is done.3) Connection of the probe to the phone app whether the microwave is being used or not.4) Consistent connection of the probe to the phone app so that I can monitor cooking from my phone most places in my house or outside.5) Intuitive use of the app or base to set up a cook.6) This set of thermometers satisfies most of my requirements.Although you can set up a cook using only the base unit, the choices are manual and basic.1) You can choose Manual to get an alert when the target temperature is reached or Smart to get an alert at an estimated temperature which is a temperature range. For both you can choose the preferred done temperature by using left and right buttons to scroll through the temperatures.2) You can edit or stop the cook. When you use the app,1) It opens with recipes that include recipe groups for the Typhur Dome, Typhur Dome 2, a Sous Vide Station, Typhur Sync (this wireless thermometer), and articles to explore. If you select a recipe, you are given a list of ingredients, oven temperature, and instructions for preparation. When you are ready, it sets up the cook using the selected probe.2) If you don't use a recipe, you can set up a smart cook by choosing a meat or fish type and then have a choice of various cuts. For example, beef has choices for steaks, roasts, and other. Each of these is broken down by beef cut, i.e., for steaks, there is sirloin, rib-eye, flank, etc. For each of these, you can choose a temperature range for doneness and then select a specific temperature. Once you make the selections, press start to set up the cook on the base unit.3) If you know what done temperature you prefer, you can skip smart cook and choose manual to enter the temperature you prefer. The reported internal temperature of foods is accurate as I have checked temperatures with an external manual probe, and the estimated done time is also spot on. The report of ambient temperature can be enlightening as you may find your cooking device does not reach the temperature set or that it runs hotter than the temperature you set. The app also offers graphs to report cooking, but I find these to be superfluous. I really don't care about these reports. I just want the food I am cooking cooked to the temperature I want and want to know when the food will be done.I have used this thermometer in a couple of my ovens and it works well. In my experience, this set of thermometers works well and is accurate for the temperatures set. Setup with my WIFI network and the app was very easy and works well. The only trivial improvement I can think of would be for the base unit to be magnetic so I can store it on my frig or the side of an oven to keep it handy. I may add a magnet strip to the back of the base unit to accomplish this. Overall, I am happy with this set of thermometers and will get used to setting up cooks on it as I use it.UPDATE 03/11/25:Since the probes connect to the base unit, the base unit must be placed within the Bluetooth range. For me, this is perfect as my back deck that has all of my outdoor cooking appliances is just outside of my kitchen that has a bay window facing the deck. I place the base unit in the bay window and the probes connect when used for anything on the deck. WIFI is used to connect the base unit to the phone app. So, I can monitor my cooking for as far as my WIFI connection works which is anywhere in my house and on the patio at the back of my house. Most recently, I used two of the probes in this set to smoke a beef sirloin tip roast. I used a popular brand pellet smoker and also used the two probes that connect to this grill/smoker. Although I set this smoker to 225 degrees, using the ambient temperature feature of these probes, I found out that this smoker runs hot. When set to 225 degrees, this smoker was actually at 250 degrees or more. With some foods, such as sirloin tip roast, that should be cooked slow for tenderness and better smoke infusion, this can be a problem. I turned down the temperature of the smoker to 200 degrees, and it maintained an ambient temperature closer to 225 degrees. I checked the temperature of the roast with a manual thermometer when it was done, and it was spot on for the temperature set. Although this roast was done much sooner than expected, I did appreciate that the app predicted how much time it would take to be done. I also learned that the suggested done temperatures for the various meats on the app are accurate. We had this roast for dinner, and my husband commented on how tender and moist it was. We both thoroughly enjoyed the smoke flavor. I very happy with this set of WIFI thermometers and would definitely recommend them for perfectly cooked meats.I hope this review was helpful for you.

trop lourd (aimante mal), ecran trop petit, trop cher.

The first thing I did was test the probes in ice water and boiling water, and all sensors on all 4 probes were spot-on. The ambient sensors are a bit off, but watching reviews of numerous other wireless probes, it seems to be a common symptom, mainly due to the vicinity of the meat that you're cooking, so you can't really fault the unit/probe.I use this inside my offset smoker made of 1/4" steel. I was worried that it might block the signal between the probes and the base, but I was able to walk to the end of my driveway, which is about 160' away, and still maintain a solid connection to the probes. The WiFi connection drops out quite a bit sooner, but so does my phone in that same area, so it's likely an issue with my network. The battery life is great. I've used it on four cooks before the battery icon on the base indicated a drop. The build quality is outstanding and feels very premium. The probes have a ceramic-like tip that makes them very easy to clean, and the base is very sturdy with a soft bottom to prevent it from sliding around when the kickstand is out.The app is also very powerful. It allows you to set various alarms. My favorite is the low ambient temp alarm that gives me a heads up when I forget to put another log in the firebox. The app itself has a basic mode and an advanced mode, the main difference is that the basic mode shows you the lowest reading among the internal sensors, while the advanced mode shows you all the readings at the same time. The app also gives you a neat line graph that helps you see when you're past the stall, which is awesome. While the app does give you an estimated time of completion, it's mainly a ballpark and not that accurate when the estimated time is ~8+ hours away, though it is accurate within a minute or two when you get to the final ~20ish minutes. My only drawback is that I wish the base had a magnet on the back so that I could stick it under my smoker's shelf to keep it in the shade while cooking, or to stick it to the side of my fridge for storing it right next to my instant-read thermometer.
