I went out on a limb to buy my 14 year old daughter a sweater that she didn't pre-approve for Christmas. I saw The Drop Women's Edith Pleated-Shoulder V-Neck Sweater on Amazon and just instinctively knew it was the perfect piece for my daughter's wardrobe, yet still I was nervous she wouldn't like it. Come Christmas morning I was relieved to see how genuinely delighted my daughter was with the sweater. In the weeks and months that followed, I have seen her wear the sweater with numerous outfits. Definitely a hit! An my daughter is picky with not only style but fit and comfort. It is soft, figure-flattering without being too tight, and the perfect neutral for her to wear in myriad outfits. Very pleased with this reasonable purchase.

This sweater came neatly folded in a secure garment bag. I purchased it for multiple reasons. I love the color baby blue or pale blue and planned on wearing it with a few grey outfits as a splash of color. I also wanted a pattern I like. This being described as a throwback to the eighties delighted me. It's got shoulders that are pleated and has a nice-v-neck to it. The bottom lands just above the waist and is well fitted. It holds its shape with 8 hours out and about and is warm enough for fall weather. I'll be needing a jacket over it for winter as I suspect most people will.It's softness is as advertised. I've worn it several times now and it lays on the skin like I am being hugged by a cloud. It's soothing and I've caught myself multiple times running my hands against it like I would a beloved pet. It's not as soft as cashmere but it's pretty close.Now for the bad news. It's a little bit threadbare. It's not used but the fabric feels and looks thin. I had a friend look at it both from a distance and close up and it wasn't noticeable until they were standing beside me. It's not enough that I have felt self conscious. My real concern is whether or not it will hold up over time. It's lasted through a few wears just fine but over time I suspect it will degrade and be done for by next winter.

True to size (I'm a UK 18 and ordered an XL). Got the "olive" colour. It is super soft. Some reviews say its short but it's fine on me (5ft 7 with large chest). Sleeves are also long enough.The only let down was the colour, the photos show a bright olive colour, but in real life its a drab washed out army uniform green. Disappointed.
