Scrivo questa recensione a distanza di più due anni dall'acquisto. La recensione si riferisce perlopiù al software del dispositivo e all'assistenza che dovrebbe ricevere. Ho perso il conto dei problemi presentatisi nel corso degli oltre due anni di utilizzo provocati dai bug delle diverse versioni susseguitesi del sistema operativo ma, fino a qualche giorno fa, vuoi per intraprendenza personale o magari grazie alla - tardiva - assistenza del produttore (o meglio del forum da lui messo a disposizione dove è più probabile ricevere assistenza o soluzioni concrete da altri utenti piuttosto che dall'assistenza), in qualche modo si riusciva a risolvere. L'ultimo bug presentatosi condiviso da parecchi utenti (basta cercare su internet "TOS user doesn't exist") però rende praticamente impossibile gestire il sistema a causa dell'impossibilità ad autenticarcisi. I dati sono comunque disponibili tramite condivisione, se abilitata. Al momento attuale l'unica soluzione fornita dall'assistenza è quella di effettuare un ripristino dell'intero sistema operativo con la possibilità, paventata dalla stessa assistenza, di perdere il RAID e quindi i dati. L'assistenza suggerisce di copiare i dati tramite SSH ma se, come nel mio caso, per ragioni di sicurezza è disattivato non è un'opzione percorribile. Nel mio caso inoltre si è magicamente corrotta anche la parte del sistema "embedded" che dovrebbe gestire l'inizializzazione del sistema operativo. Detto ciò, mi scuso per lo spiegone e sconsiglio l'acquisto non dello specifico modello ma di un qualsiasi NAS di marca Terramaster essendo il sistema operativo condiviso praticamente tra tutti i suoi modelli.

Qualità prezzo ottima, molto intuitivo e facile da istallare e utilizzare. Super silenzioso, superiore ad altri prodotti di simil prezzoConsigliatissimo. Davvero un bel prodotto.Non avendo mai usato un nas, con questo prodotto sono riuscito a settarlo e usarlo in maniera autonoma.Al primo dubbio contatto l Assistenza, che si rileva molto efficace e veloce.

Das Gerät ist eine gute, aber etwas teure Basis für eigene NAS-Installationen, da eine Intel Celeron CPU verbaut ist und es sich (einschließlich HDMI-Port) um einen normalen Kleinrechner mit 5 Laufwerkschächten und 2 Netzwerkanschlüssen handelt. Mit einem passenden RAM lässt sich der auf der Platine verbaute 2 GB RAM auf (bei mir) 10 GB aufrüsten. Dies ist aber nur erforderlich, wenn auf dem Gerät Docker- oder ähnliche Anwendungen laufen sollen. Für den reinen Betrieb als File- und Streamingserver wird nicht viel RAM benötigt. Die LAN Ports lassen sich (etwas Sorgfalt und entsprechenden Switch vorausgesetzt) bündeln. Da der 2. LAN-Port aber über USB3 am Chipsatz angebunden ist, bricht die Übertragungsrate bei voller Auslastung und größeren Kopieraktionen immer wieder ein. Das kann auch an der dann massiven Auslastung der kleinen CPU liegen. Ich habe die auf einem intern verbauten USB-Stick mitgelieferte NAS-Software des Herstellers nur kurz getestet. Funktioniert einwandfrei, insbesondere einfache Verwaltung des Samba Servers und schnelle Dateizugriffe, eswar mir aber wegen der integrierten Kommunikation mit dem Hersteller zu unsicher.Ideal war dann die Installation des (kostenpflichtigen) Unraid: Per USB-Stick intern die Installation angestoßen, einen der Slots mit einer alten SSD belegt (für das Caching, interne NVME-Slots wie bei Synology hat das Gerät leider nicht) und danach eine große 8 TB Platte für die Parität und 3 bunt gemischte Platten aus Altbeständen verbaut. Läuft einwandfrei, sämtliche Smart-Daten und die Temperatur lassen sich problemlos auslesen. Die gesamte Hardware wird erkannt und so kann man sich viel Bastelei und Probleme sparen, wenn die 5 Slots + 2 externe USB3 Ports ausreichen. Auch Docker Apps sind mit etwas mehr Arbeitsspeicher kein Problem. Nur die geringe CPU Leistung setzt da Grenzen. Negativ vermerke ich die etwas hakeligen Laufwerksschlitten aus Plastik, die schlechte Erreichbarkeit des internen USB-Ports und RAM (man muss das ganze Gehäuse auseinanderschrauben) und die fehlende Möglichkeit, NVME oder andere Massenspeicher ohne Knickrisiko (die USB3 Ports liegend außen ganz oben sehr eng und dicht an den LAN Buchsen) extern oder intern anzuschließen. Der Hersteller möchte offenbar zur Erweiterung seine eigenen Drive-Bays verkaufen. Mit Lizenz Unraid kostet das Gerät auch 400 Euro. Ob man dann nicht lieber die vergleichbare Synology DS 918/920+ für ca. 150 Euro mehr verwendet, ist vom Anwendungsfall abhängig. Dieses (im Vergleich zum Gebotenen-) etwas teure Gerät lohnt sich nur, wenn man mit einem "Standard-NAS" nichts anfangen kann, zum Beispiel exotische Docker-Apps oder VMs laufen lassen will und nicht basteln möchte.

Ho avuto modo di acquistare più sistemi Nas, dai Netgear ai WD EX2ultra. TerraMaster F221 e ' quello che si addice più alle mie necessità. Robusto, ben fatto e molto veloce, configurato in RAID 1 (mirroring) con dischi IRONWOLF NAS da 4TB. Estesa immediatamente la RAM a 6 Gbytes, il sistema anche sotto stress test risulta silenzioso (sento solo il rumore dei dischi).Se devono fare un confronto con Il WD EX2ULTRA Terramaster è più professionale, adatto sicuramente ad ambienti IT strutturati. La possibilità di bilanciare il carico delle richieste (throughput ) mettendo a disposizione due schede di rete non è un dettaglio da poco.Con molti accessi simultanei e richieste di upstream e downstream impegnative, mentre i concorrenti Nas si frizzano, l 'F221 in bilanciamento non produce lag e server in maniera fluida le richieste.Ho gradito molto la dotazione di applicazioni server attivabili. Ora si tratta di verificarne l'affidabilità nel tempo e la cadenza degli aggiornamenti del firmware.La configurazione e la messa in esercizio, è stata semplice, adatta anche a meno esperti.Soluzione ideale. Valuterò sicuramente nel futuro la possibilità di approdare a modelli superiori prezzo permettendo.Metto 4 stelle perché opero in ambienti "Enterprise" e sono abituato a dispositivi molto più complessi ma dai prezzi decisamente non accessibili.

Utilisation classique de sauvegarde de documents de travail - 2 disques en RAID1- prend moins de place en hauteur qu'un QNAP ou SYNOLOGY- Interface web très réactive ( 2GO ram ) : le jour et la nuit avec le Synology , plus rapide que QNAP TS453A (4GO Ram )- Configuration facile : on est moins perdu que QNAP - très similaire à SYNOLOGY en plus simplifié- Accès distant opérationnel sans supplément ( durée 1 an ! à voir au renouvellement du certificat )- Mise à jour facile- 2 prises réseau pour agréger- Démarrage ultrarapide : opérationnel en 30s là ou QNAP prend quelques minutes en RAID5- Multitâche moyen ( débits chutent; à cause du RAID 1 ? ) mais largement mieux que SYNOLOGY- Application de bureau qui mappe l'appareil sur le réseau : idéal pour éviter de taper l'adresse IPBref du bonheur 100€ moins cher minimum que SYNOLOGY ou QNAP et qui fait bien le job- pas encore testé le remplacement de disque pour vérifier l'efficacité du RAID1, mais il n'y a pas de raisonJe le conseille aux néophytes plutôt que d'acheter un SYNOLOGY qui pour plus cher sera moins performantEn tout cas chez moins j'ai viré le SYNOLOGY pour le TERRAMASTER...prochaine étape passer sur TERRAMASTER 4 Baies en RAID5 pour virer le QNAPLe catalogue d'application est limité ( j'ai quand même installé l'antivirus ClamAV - gratuit et OneDrive Snyc pour synchroniser mes dossiers ) mais ce n'est pas se qu'on cherche avec cette appareil.Je le laisse faire son boulot de base : sauvegarder mes fichiers et y accéder rapidement à partir de mes PCContent de cet achat

Buenos materiales de construcción y buen software.Llevo años usando varios nas, de hecho varios porque siempre se me quedaban cortos, tanto en potencia como en capacidad.Tenía claro que el próximo tendrías que ser de un mínimo de 4 bahías, también tenia claro que eso sería caro ya que al ser de más bahías ya es más caro y también porque has de llenarlo con discos( al menos tres discos).Buscando alternativas más asequibles a las marcas más conocidas y por tanto más caras, encontré TERRAMASTER. Según reviews así como artículos relacionados tuve conocimiento de esta marca que pisaba fuerte ya que tenía unos buenos materiales de construcción y diseños sencillos y accesibles. En alguna comparativa se menciona que el software es algo en lo que cojea pero según mi experiencia NO ES CIERTO. Tiene un software manejable, intuitivo y rápido. Ya sea por su buena cpu o simplemente porque el software es más simple y directo. Es cierto que algunos sistemas pueden ser más completos pero en si lo que usamos más son software pasivos y TOS hace lo necesario para que todo funcione bien. Esos sistemas más completos a menudo no suelen ser usados y lo que hacen es añadir menos eficiencia al sistema y por tanto a tu experiencia en la interacción con el acceso a datos del nas.En definitiva Terramaster con este F5-221 me ha ganado como cliente. Cumple con el bonito, barato y bueno, además es muy eficiente.Esperando a que añadan más apps para smartphones como para escritorio para cerrar el circulo!!

Partendo dal fatto che ho avuto esperienze con Synology con cui non ho avuto mai problemi, Thecus, ma siamo su fasce di prezzo completamente differenti e con Qnap, di cui ne ho avuti due tra cui un 253 PRO con cui ho avuto tantissimi problemi tra cui ho dovuto riformattare tre volte e con l'aiuto del supporto recuperare tutti i file ogni volta con r-linux.Il nas è eccezionale, la fattura è l'unico aspetto sui cui si potrebbe lavorare, i tray dischi sono in plastica ma di ottima qualità, smontarlo per aprirlo ed arrivare fino alla scheda madre non è perfettamente ingeenierizzato per cui si svitano più viti di quanto sia necessario ma:1. la piattaforma hardware intel è impagabile, collegato a hdmi con tastiera si entra in locale sulla bash linux vera, con tutti i crismi per cui si può riparare tutto da linea di comando dovessero esserci dei problemi, cosa non da sottovalutare, con tutti gli altri vendor, si è bloccati sulla connettività di rete per cui se non parte la gui web, si rimane in braghe di tela.2. le performance sono eccezionali, plex consente almeno 3 conversioni contemporanee e con plex pass e l'accelerazione hardware si arriva tranquillamente a 6 stream contemporanei3. la gui è semplice e le app disponibili sono limitate ma si trova tutto quello di cui si ha bisogno per un uso casalingo4. Docker funziona benissimo e si possono installare tantissime altre macchine virtuali con i software più svariatiDa migliorare, il file manager interno web, durante la movimentazione dei file crea copie e poi le cancella, sicuro ma più lento, per questo sposto i file da SMB share senza nessun problema di performance.Ora in Raid 5 su 4 dischi da 4TB WD misti tra WFRX e WFAX non da nessun problema + un disco singoloConsigliatissimo soprattutto perchè a parità di performance su altri marchi si spende almeno il 15% in più a parità di performance e slot.

As they have updated their OS (from TOS 3 to TOS 4) I think it’s become even better!I have been very happy with my F4-220 (purchased in April 2018) and as I wanted something a bit more powerful, I ended up getting the F4-421 and I haven’t looked back.This device has the same specs as a Synology ds918+ but for a fraction of the price, it’s definitely worth considering if you're in the market for a new NAS.
