The Tera Barcode Scanner is a highly accurate 1D, 2D, and QR barcode scanner. It is also very fast at acquiring the barcode being scanned. Basically pint the barcode scanner at the barcode and it is scanned immediately. The barcode scanner comes with a charging base where the provided USB cable is attached to the base. Or you can use the included USB cable to connect directly to the barcode scanner for charging and data capture. It will scan the following quality of barcodes: Wide Scanning Angle, Underwater, Fuzzy, Damaged, Blurred, Colorful, and Folded Code. The Tera Barcode Scanner can be configured using the menu system on the handheld or by scanning barcodes in the included User Manual. The scanner can be set up to transfer data via Bluetooth, 2.4G Wireless, and using the included USB cable. You can also set up the scanner to store all of the scanned codes in the scanner. The codes are then uploaded to storage at another time. 20,000 codes can be stored in the handheld. My only complaint about the Tera Barcode Scanner, which has nothing to do with the scanner, is the lack of information in the User Manual specific to the handheld itself. The User Manual basically only includes the configuration barcodes. No other details. At the time of this review the Tera Barcode Scanner was selling for $79.89 with an available Coupon Code of 10% making the total price $71.90. The Tera Barcode Scanner is built very well and should last a long time. This review has barely touched on the functionality of the scanner. If you are in the market for a quality, super fast, and super accurate barcode scanner, the Tera Barcode Scanner should be at the top of your list. This thing scans lightning fast and provides lots of storage/upload options.

This bar code scanner does so much more than what we needed. I work for a publisher and we needed a scanner to be able to check that bar codes on advance books that come from the printer are scanning properly. This scanner does that, but wow. You can save stuff on the scanner itself and download to the computer all at once, you can connect it directly to the computer wirelessly through bluetooth to scan into apps, it scans 1D/2D/3D bar codes, UPC codes, QR codes - all the codes! It scans bar codes on any color background, even if it's on a glossy book. You can set the brightness of the screen on the scanner to pretty much whatever you want. There are multiple choices for language on the scanner. There are so many options, I know I'm not even listing them all because we won't use them, but they are there for anyone else who needs them. I think they've thought of everything! It's fast. It's accurate. It sits on its cradle and charges, or you can connect it with a cable to the plug, but the battery lasts a full day under heavy use and several days for light use, so I doubt you'll ever run out of charge. The setup is super intuitive, but they include an instruction manual (in multiple languages) that's very helpful for any questions you might have. I'm super impressed and feel a little guilty having such a fancy scanner for the simple needs of my company. At this price, it's easy to see even small businesses would be able to afford it easily for inventory or checkout or so many other things. I highly recommend!

The Tera Barcode Scanner is proving to be a great asset for my vending snack inventory tracking. The digital screen is a stand out addition compared to prior scanners I have used, providing visibility and and on unit control. The included manual provides QR codes for adjusting settings, but having the ability to adjust settings on the go enhances my workflow during busy inventory sessions. The ability to record entries for later upload or to my iphone has saved me from the hassle of carrying around a laptop. However, in the spirit of transparency, I've encountered two scenarios where the reader was unresponsive to scanning barcodes. Device was on and would navigate between settings, but would not scan codes. Fortunately, forcing the reader to go to sleep and then awakening it solved the issue both times. While this was a minor hiccup, I've started making mental notes of the items being scanned to identify any potential patterns or triggers.Despite this occasional quirk, the Tera Barcode Scanner remains a nice upgrade. The Bluetooth and USB connectivity options, along with the direct entry to Apple Notes, continue to streamline my workflow.

I have a very large comic book collection that is managed through an application called ComicBase that supports barcode scanning. Simply put, if you have a barcode scanner you can quickly add, delete, or modify your collection simply by scanning the bar code on the comic book. Brilliant! The only challenge is that a barcode scanner used for this purpose is not going to work right out of the box. You'll need the manual as each parameter is able to be set by simply scanning the bar code to turn features on and off. The way I did this was to use Comicbase's guide to setup their scanners and translated that to the manual that was included with this scanner. As a shortcut, here are the settings you need to change to get going with Comicbase:1. Scan the Bluetooth HID barcode to enable it as the communication modality. Essentially you are going to pair the scanner to the computer that runs Comicbase.2. Scan the Bluetooth HID pairing mode and enable pairing on your computer. The manual should show you the default name but when you go into Windows and the settings for Bluetooth and other Devices you will want to add a device. You should see Barcode Scanner or something very similar when your computer scans for Bluetooth devices.3. After pairing you now need to enable the settings that work with comic book bar codes. Using the manual, find the settings to turn on the following:3a. Enable 2-digit supplementals (EAN-13)3b. Enable 5-digit supplementals (EAN-13)3c. Enable starting and terminating CODABAR characters3d. Prevent extra spaces before supplemental3e. Enable CODABARThat's it! You are now able to use the barcode field in Comicbase to find, add, edit comics! Overall, I like the scanner and deducted one star because the manual is not very easy to follow and not all the parameters are very well described -- especially wifi setup. I'm using Bluetooth so not a big deal but worth mentioning.
