This feels decent. It’s more expensive but I like this one. Had bought the lamicall one which is also very good but it didn’t fit vertically and the larger lamicall is out of stock. If this one would open 10mm more it would be perfect. It’s a bit of a squeeze for an iPad Pro m2 11inch vertically but it does go in with the case on just. It also has loads of threaded holes to mount things on. Mounted on manfrotto mini tripod. It’s not cheap but it’s good

It's sturdy, holds the iPad in place, and allows us to do stop motion animation tests with minimal problems - well recommended.

I looked at literally every iPad tripod mount available online (thoroughly researched) with having absolutely no interest in cheap plastic junk (which sadly forms around 95% of the entire market). This is undoubtedly the best design and quality I could find considering I wanted something developed to a professional level for use within a production environment (without having to resort to an overpriced and questionably designed iPad cage).I’m seriously into Manfrotto who surprisingly have absolutely nothing to cater to this need, but having received this and examined it thoroughly, it is certainly on par with what I would expect from them if they did. The unit is finished in gorgeous anodised aluminium, and thoughtfully developed throughout. It has a wonderful strong weighted feel to it without being overly heavy and made me feel confident that I can trust my expensive mobile devices attached to it. It’s the only unit I’ve seen that has a decent cross section (width) and square rails which means they can’t twist when extended.The thumb screw tighter used to set the height seems cleverly thought out as it compresses a clutch onto the guide rails for a steady ‘finger tight’ grip, but also features a hex key fitting for securing further which is a nice touch. There is a multitude of threaded connection points, 2 x cold shoe mounts and tripod wedge/rail connection which are excellent as they make this iPad mount very dynamic and useful in various different production settings.I’ve since decided I’m going to purchase another as this will allow me to develop a custom iPad cage to my own specifications whilst always being able to use them independently for multiple devices according to need. I really appreciate good design and engineering and this mount excels at both.If I were to comment on anything I didn’t like it would be very minor (and bare in mind I’m a design snob) but I just thought a couple of the finishings could be improved (e.g, done better with little effort):A) The lowest threaded hole has been drilled through to accommodate the bolt on the bottom that holds the lower clamp in place. However, it’s all the way through and thus damages the threads (which still likely function fine) but there was actually no reason to do this as you can clearly see that the bolt recessed inside is basically no where near the the end of the hole (so it was unnecessary to drill all the way through) which spoils its nice aesthetic.B) The screws at either side of the aforementioned appear to be counter sunk screws style conical heads with relatively sharp edges that protrude from the surface as a result of them not being a cylindrical style with a greater surface area. These are basically used as stoppers to prevent the rails from over extending when the rail reaches its up limit. However I think as they’re a little on the sharp side they are likely to damage the upper extension limit over time if you’re not careful extending, and it would just have been much nicer if they were solid rounded hex fittings like everything else.These 2 minor things are all that I would suggest could be improved as aside from them issues, this is really a beautiful piece of engineering and design and in a different league to anything else out there from what I can establish and I’m really glad to have discovered this as once you pick it up and begin using it you can immediately appreciate what a high quality mount it is, and just how useful it is to have in your inventory - very cool!
