Je recherchais un Switch pour remplacer mes deux GEM Adderview 1 Moniteur 4 Ports par un seul Switch.Le Modèle StarTech fonctionne parfaitement.En plus il permet de distribuer 2 ports USB (Testé avec uns Webcam) et la sortie Audio (Testé aussi).Très bon Appareil, juste un petit regret qu'il ne possèdent pa un Modèle 4 Ports et 3 Moniteurs.

...hat nur ein kleines Defizit, die DVI Buchsen sind so dicht beieinander, dass manche Stecker nur mit Gewalt reingehen und an das Festschrauben ist nicht zu denken.

This works great for my desktop and business laptop. No problem at all to setup, and it works fine with my Logitech Unifying adapter for keyboard and mouse. Recommended.

It took a while to get all the right cables and adapters but this item worked really well for me so far. I have a home desk computer, a work laptop in docking station, and two 19 inch monitors. I have an older dell keyboard, and a wireless mouse. I'm able to switch easily between home and work. I did have trouble with the laptop, getting the laptop display to disconnect so I could use just the two 19 inch monitors. After a bit of fiddling, it worked. The only think that I've not gotten to work yet is to share the printer, but that's something I'm not too worried about.I'm really happy with how it's working so far. It did take a little fiddling and a little research getting the right adapters. The other reviews were very helpful especially when discussing the DVI to VGA adapters--on my laptop docking station. Paying careful attention to the adapters was the most helpful tip for me. I'm so glad I was able to have two computers and ONE workstation. Now all I need to get is the perfect cabinet to house my printer, laptop, desktop and other stuff that clutters up the office space. Once I have that --I'll be all set!

In the last year, I've now purchased this and also the model down from it (3-port) in the StarTech line. My experience of both switches is the same.What can you say, when something works flawlessly? No problems, no incompatibilities, no dropped connections.The boxes sit unobtrusively on my desks. They do not seem to get hot at any time.I like the additional USB (top loading angled adapter) slots provided by the larger model. But it's a lot of money if you don't need the switching capacity.I strongly recommend that you buy bundled DVI cables for use with this unit. These are cables that sheath the DVI along with USB, sound and microphone as a single cable. Connecting your PCs is really easy so long as you have multi-cables of this type. As soon as I saw the difference it would make, I ordered some, and waited to set the box up.The sheer weight of cables is going to try to pull the switch off the desk, unless you secure them or weight the switch down.Switching from one PC to another involves a screen lag of 1-2 secs, so don't expect it to be instantaneous. This means that you can't realistically operate in real time on 2 or 3 PCs simultaneously. The delays in switching prevent that. This was not a problem for me.I used the USB slots for a USB VGA screen adapter, mouse, etc. They worked fine. Come to think of it, in the end I preferred to keep my third VGA (USB) screen directly connected to one PC. It gave me half the desktop all the time. With 2 wireless mice (one on the switch and one local to the PC, I was able to do quite a number of simultaneous activities.This is excellent equipment. Has been completely trouble free. The price of this kind of device is high, but I am very pleased with the end result.
