I just ordered another one of these batteries from amazon.com after looking at dozens of suppliers, many of which had lower prices. Why did I do this (spend more)?'Counterfeits'Yes, sadly brand names with quality reputations suffer from tons of falsely-labeled 'counterfeit' knock-offs. I should know, I've been burned a few times myself. So I feel I should share my facts and save others the grief of buying items that are NOT what they appear to be.I have a couple of SONY DSC-T77 cameras which use this battery. When I bought my 'first' T77 in 2009, I purchased a 'Genuine' Sony NP-FD1 battery here on amazon.com to compliment the Sony NP-BD1 'D' type battery that came with the Sony camera. And about a year later, returned to amazon.com to buy another 'Genuine' Sony NP-FD1 battery. They just perform better and last longer with each recharge. This past February I purchased my 'second' Sony DSC-T77 camera and made the mistake of buying a "slightly used" NP-FD1 battery on eBay for half the price of my other two Sony batteries. It looks just like the 'real'(genuine) Sony NP-FD1 batteries I already own and use. But it's not the 'real deal' and only lasts about 1/3 the time the 'real' Sony batteries last on a full charge. Sure, it works. But it's NOT made with the same quality 'cells' inside that give me so much more battery time the 'real' Sony batteries deliver time after time. So "Buyer beware" of 'counterfeits' - they're not such a "good deal" after all. I've learned my lesson and just purchased a 'genuine' Sony NP-FD1 from amazon.com (again). I should also add that there are many 'counterfeit' Sony Memory Stick Pro Duo cards out there - if the price looks too good to be true, it most likely isn't the 'real deal' either.Amazon's prices are quite competitive and they stand behind their offerings. It's why I keep coming back to a source I can trust!FIVE STARS for the 'real deal'!!!!!

I've owned Sony cameras for a while now, the latest is the T700. The batteries I have been using are getting really old, so I felt it was time for at least one replacement. It is a strange thing to me that they have two different batteries which fit this camera, but for the life of me I cannot tell which one is the most high powered, or which will last for more shots. So I just blindly purchase this one for $35. It is better than a generic, but am I getting the best battery for this camera? Hmmmm, you'll have to ask someone else, because I really don't know.My other batteries were purchased directly from the Sony website, their store, and cost a fair amount of money at the time. I think this one, coming from or through Amazon, is exactly the same. Indeed, I expect it to perform the same, and last for several years, perhaps outlive the T700, which is now my backup camera.

Because I was planning a trip and thought I might need to take a lot of pictures each day, I ordered an extra battery for my Sony Exmar DSC-TX1 camera. I carry it in my pocket nearly 100% of the time. I was pleasantly surprised that the new battery had a feature the original battery did not have - it shows how many minutes remain for use in both photo and video modes. The little battery bars the old battery showed (and the new one also shows) is not nearly as informative as seeing real numbers. Also, the price was much better than getting one at a local store or from Sony's web site. So, I am happy with my purchase.

I got the camera 9 months ago and went ahead and sprung for a spare battery - so far I've NEVER run down a battery in a single day unless I was shooting >30 minutes of movie. For just pics I get 180-200 per charge, and I'm rarely taking more than 100 a day. Both batteries still hold plenty of charge (for me) for a long time. (Days after a charge I'll click on the camera and find an almost completely charged battery.) I keep one battery in the charger pretty much all the time at night, and when I go out expecting to take a LOT of pictures ALL DAY - I'll take both batteries, but I've only had to switch to "back-up battery" once - and that was with filming a concert over an hour long. When taking just still pics I've never run out of battery.I guess if I were a pro I'd want more battery - but if I were a pro I'd want more camera too.

The Rechargeable Battery Sony NPFD1 is compatible with my T-300, that's why I bought it.As all the batteries, Sony NPFD1 has a limit time of shots. The good thing about the battery is it shows you how long it's going to work, it gives you the amount of minutes that is possible to take pictures with your camera. What I don't like about it is if the camera shows you 150 minutes you still have to take your pictures, be sure you're going to have 100 minutes left. I'm not sure if is my camera or the battery, but ONE minute is not really one minute. It's less than one minute. Sometimes it shows me one minute less for each new shot.In the other hand I know that is a original battery from SONY and I'm sure that is not going to damage my camera and it makes me feel comfortable and buying a new one when I need.
