Descent product,though the patches are small,they do a correct job

Having seen a couple of videos about how hard it was to patch Schwalbe’s new lightweight Aerothan inner tubes. I did some research and found these clear patches which confusingly seem to use the same packaging as the patches for butyl tyres. They are oval and very thin and transparent which is different from the slightly opaque square patches that Schwalbe make for butyl tubes. The patch seems to adhere pretty well although when I last looked at it there was a bit of a bubble in the centre of the patch over the puncture hole. Having said that they have now done 200 miles at about 80psi and are not losing any air. The patches are very thin, clear, and held on clear plastic so they can be fiddly to handle and I managed to get two stuck together one on top of the other but the pair of them still seem to work. I’d recommend cleaning the tube very carefully first with a mild detergent so that there’s nothing to reduce the holding power of the glue.
